Clone one eyed cats! No seriously, that is absurd. Already, 90% of cats in shelters are destroyed. I think the real question will be when scientists discover ways to clone humans and other pollyanish scenarios. I believe at some point we start playing games we will lose control over. I'm still optimistic about the future albeit for none of the likely results of those trivial "inventions."

From what I understand they've had a breakthrough in creating hypo-allergenic cats for people who want to own a cat, but can't. I suppose that's better than someone buying a cat, finding out they're allergic, and ending up dumping it. At least now they get what they pay for.

Point taken. Cloning chickens is much better I'd go more for developing and cultivating a plant product that can grow in different regions at a plentiful rate. However, introducing new plants to regions oftens creates an unbalanced ecosystem, which is why I proposed animal product more than plant product.
