    I dunno... who likes it?
    any whacky stories?

I am not very good, I got a board a long time ago and all my freinds were going to take up skating again, and they never did and i'm not freinds with them now (although not because of that) so i'm just starting to get into it now. this weekend a bunch of kids are supposed to skate a full pipe that I guess someone built in the middle of the desert... should make for a fun adventure either way!

I rollerblade. Agressive inline kids up in new hampshire are either insanely good and resistant to pain, really horrible because they lose so much practice, or just plain willing to try anything at least once (like me). If I could count the number of times ive really fucked some part of my body up because of skating... id be able to count to about 300 :-P A full pipe in the sand? sounds really shitty for your bearings...

I have sk8ed since I was 12 can say much about the sk8 scene as it has fallen the way of the punk scene all fashion no substance anda lot of cheap product, but I didn't start to look cool and I don't do it to be cool it's alifestyle...also snowboard too. it's not about being good it's about having fun and enjoying the moment. well with 16 years under my belt I can say I have seen it all from flash in the pans to unsung hero's to crash landings that would make Hannibal Lecter cringe nights under the lights....but I am odd I prefer listening to thinks like KMFD or Atari Teenage riot when I sk8 I need the rythm or sumthing.....listening to straight punk just gets me agro and wild...whihc isn't bad...

i skated for about 10 years, from back when they made NASH boards with a single kick, with the cool spiral griptape..to the new boards...i've been to most every park in the southern states, almost got sponsered by Sixteen. skated alot of "old school" stuff and people/comps/ loved it.....

co-owned Axis skatepark in knoxville TN for a few years with Jamie Smith who is now a pro on Shuv-it boards........

through out my entire drifter years i skated ,it's was probally the only thing that keep me going......unfortantly i can't really skate anymore, i was doing a big stair once and tore a muscle in my back 3/4 of the why through. have had a terible back since then............

I will always be gratefull to skateboarding,
it was my life for years, you know the feeling, your on a bus heading somewhere and you see little grass ditches and you imagine them concrete and skateing them,it takes over your mind....

i don't even think about haw it is now, i just remember the days/years i had enjoying my life to the fullest, weither it was bombing some big ass hill,or hardfliping some 20 stair........

well I don't imagine destroying nature and covering it with more concrete just so we can skate on it... naw, in my dreams all the cars would be gone and we could skate the super highways and cities and everywhere else that used to be prohibited.

yeah, it is addicting isn't it? I wonder what it is that draws people so much to it, I guess it's just a sense of freedom in taking motion and putting it to work in a new way.
