    LOS ANGELES - Actress Sandra Dee died Sunday, according to a published report. She was 63.

    Her son Dodd Darin, who's father was actor-crooner Bobby Darin, told CNN the actress had been hospitalized to undergo treatment for kidney disease and pneumonia before she passed away on Sunday morning.

    Dee gained her acting fame starring in '50s teen films such as “Gidget” and “A Summer Place.” She married Darin in 1960.

    I don't think GREASE was about her The Bobby Darin Film? I think she had been sick for long time. I only remember her from that song.
