So i got a visit from my local law enforcement officers. They were friendly and understanding, as well as, in my opinion doing a decent job.

Someone deciced that they like my car radio, much more than their own. And along with it, they helped themselves to my CD case.

Now to the point.. I miss my stereo, but i can replace that, but DAMN IT i can Guarantee that whoever took my cd's are just gonna throw them away. No one around me listens to anything but rap and/or redneck bullshit. At least they will use the radio, but my music is fodder for them. What a waist

That sucks. Sorry the happened to you. I'm thinking of going over to a digital system. Just load it up with MP3s or whatever, burned off my original CDs. I figure if I insure the car radio and I have the masters, it would be harder to lose anything permanently. I never listen to music in the car anymore because transferring CDs all the time is such a pain. Check the local pawn shop for the CDs. Odds are good that if they got anything really obscure, it might be a good lead on the thieves.

that's why I never spent more than 100 dollars on a car stereo and don't leave more than one or two cds in the car at a time.

oh yeah and cops can be pretty understanding and cool when they know they don't have to actually do anything. they get paid by the hour just like the rest of us.

Man that sucks, I had some kids steal some tapes out of my car once (it still had the factory delco player in it, nobody wanted it) They actually took the time to go through the console and pick out what they wanted, including a recorded tape of dance mixes, little bastards. I haven't even installed a radio in the hearse yet, thinking about hiding the amps/speakers and just using a small MP3 player that I can take out with me for the signal. Then I'll just put an original AM radio back in the dash to throw off anybody scoping it out. track.

What were some of the cds they took? Maybe if I have some of them I could send you burnt copies or a data disc.

Well I certainly appreciate the offer it was very nice. After i crash through my now empty crystals and see just what I am missing and what I can /cannot replace I just might take you up on it. Thanks all for your concern and support. HUGS ALL AROUND.
