It can only be my luck these days, I must have pissed the gods off big time. In the last six months three of three video stores I frequented have closed down. One turned into a coffee house, the second is now a chinese restraunt, and the third .. well they are just knocking the building down to make condos I think. I have been Anti-Blockbuster since their inception and plan on staying that way.

So I am wondering if anyone has any comments/info/experiences in regards to "Netflix". Let me know if your using or know someone who is using. I cannot go without my movie fix.

The only video store left in my area is the dreaded Blockbuster. And those bastards edit movies, and refuse to carry porn. Not to mention there outlandish price gouging. Did i mention they are bastards?

Netflix rocks. I am really down on Blockbuster as well, but Netflix is really cool. I can get you a good link for an adult version of NetFlix as well, if you want that too.

Im thinking of doing the netflix thing myself and have been asking around for a few weeks-
so far I've heard nothing but good things about them- quick turnaround and amazing selection are things that keep coming up.

Yes Netflix is GREAT!! They have all kinds of cool stuff. I mean, not everything in the world, but right now I am watching every single episode of "Dark Shadows"..

And they let you keep it for as long as you want, which I love, because I love to watch films over and over sometimes for a month!

Yes, I finally saw the FIRST episode, I guess it is the trailer, and it tells the whole story, things I never knew! And they have an interview with Jonothan Frid, and he is a NEW YORKER, and an AMERICAN! And the show was taped here in NYC, and he lived right on 9th Avenue, near me!

What I like about Dark Shadows is the subtle way they never show fangs, or blood or biting... It's all suggested. And I LOVE that theme song... My apartment looks just like the old house where Barnabus Collins lives!!!!

I don't what to say. The gods must want you to go to the darkside somehow. There is chain called Movie Gallery. They have alot more obscrue movies and a nice selection porn.

I love Netflix. But before signing up I'd recommend going through their inventory to see if they meet your media consumption needs. They have some small art-house titles which is a plus.

I love being able to put whole seasons of television shows in the queue and having them send it to me. The only downside is the mailing back and forth... It's a terrible sensation to finish all your DVDs and realize you have to send everything back and wait until they receive and ship out more DVDs in your queue.

However, Netflix services is top notch. I'd recommend, but I'd have a plan B for those moments when you run through the DVDs. Maybe a Tivo or pay a little more for the number of DVDs you have out.
