Introduction of a new member

Hi, I thought that I should respect Amelia's request that all new folks should at least say hi and tell a little about themselves so that’s what I'm going to do.


Hi, I'm Mark Geri.

I'm an 18 year old sophomore at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham Washington. I'll soon be transferring over to Western (a 4 year state run University) so I can study psychology. I might think about going for a doctorate at some point but I think that’s a little ways off from this point in time.

I'm 5'6; 168 lbs. As I said in my profile, I do a LOT of walking and I do heavy combat with the SCA. Yes, I like being beaten with sticks. I also do a good bit of yoga so I tend to be quite bendy. Another thing I enjoy (besides those long walks on the beach) is going to the various conventions in my area like NorwestCon. If you search for pictures, I'm the person in the slightly incomplete Gir (Invader Zim) outfit (the head was the only part completely finished).

As you might guess, I don't quite fit in with my age group and tend to run with an older, "gothish" sort of crowd. So I find that this sort of venue appeals to me more then the podunk, frat-boy, yuppie cesspool that encompasses my daily life. And the gals on this and other affiliated websites are drop dead gorgeous; I don't need to say anything else.

I found my way here through Livejournal. The url for mine is posted in my profile but I don't update very often and except the last few posts, it's little but teenage angst, so please don't put too much stock into it.

Well, that’s all I can think of sharing right now, but if there is anything else you would like to know, just ask.

The Black Drop sounds alluring. Welcome to Blue Blood. I used to go to Pennzic every summer until I needed a shower and then I would go home. Never had the dough for a hotel or motel and couldn't quite manage the shower from a bag trick. Love the armor though.

westkingdom + org is your kingdoms website.

This is your kingdom. It's big and there are people around you playing. Otherwise your in a very odd part of California.

And if you have to cross state lines to find the nearest branch, go to the main sca and something there should get you on your way towards being active again.

Ya, if your up in the area and want some of the best coffee around, go to The Drop. Everything is on there Lj community and connected websites. When it is back up, check out an older photo of me eating peeps at Peepfest 1; I don't look like I could fit 53 peeps in me.

I've only heard tales of Pennsic. If all the BIG events were not so far away... I'm still working on my armor; once I make it look presentable I'll post some photos somewhere.
