    Default Gothic Makeup Ideas

    Hi,

I was wondering if any of you out there have any suggestions, photos, or ideas for applying makeup for gothic or fetish style events. I have the make-up and have been experimenting, but can't come up with anything I really like. If you have anything you wanna share, hit me up and we can chat via IM or email.

    Thanks so much!!!

    Beth

i'm always partial to girls that know how to be subtle with their mak-up,which i think many don't see with the whole "gothic" make-up.....it's possible, haha, and sexy....

    but ,hey, i'm just a guy. ...

for makeup just use black eyeliner, some dark eyeshadow (a plus if it matches the color of your eyes) and nutural colored foundation with a litle powder if you need it to cover anything up (otherwise dont use foundation) simplicity works wonders...

I think it's important to incorporate the makeup with the overall look. Spooky makeup without cool hair and without cool clothes tends to look a little silly. But, if it's makeup you want to learn about, awesome makeup artist Kevin Aucoin has a great book called Making Faces. You can learn a lot about creating a dramatic look there.

I think the best way to get good with makeup, is to practice, and experiment.

Try stuff, wash it off, then try something else.

My first efforts at makeup were pretty crappy, but the more I did it,
the better I got at it...
