Wow, I thought I had heard that Alias was a great show, so I rented the first three episodes on DVD. It has been a long time since I saw something so painfully predictable and painfully acted. The only thing worse than the soundtrack is the writing. Gotta love a character who is supposed to be a badass spy whose main capability is changing implausible wigs from time to time. I admit that I've only watched the first episode and part of the second one. Does this show get any better later on? Do any of the actors grow into their absurdly by-the-book characters? Do the wigs get more believable?
