what mediums do you use?

i use sharpies mainly because they feel comfortable in my hand and they come in various tip sizes and theyr so versatile. I did the following with nothing but sharpies.

I work mainly in the field of digital art and pen and ink, I don't so so much colouring but i have to for school so i've worked in everything from acrylic to aerated concrete.

As to why...because people pay me to do it

i make jewelry out of glass, bone, and semiprecious stone beads. mainly because i have nothing better to do.

best answer yet. lol I paint and draw flash art (not computer flash) for the same reason but have started getting into using paint shop pro for artistic purposes. just put my first psp8 art pice up in my paintings....chaotika, I love the one with girl sitting smoking a cig. how much for it and how big is it?

I use a lot of things, mostly just pencils at the mo, but whatever is to hand......I use acyrlics, oil paints, plaster of paris, clay, found objects, latex, ink (i had a bit of an ink obsession not so long ago....but i've run out now, so that has since abated), anything i can get my hands on really

Pencil sketch mostly. Art isn't serious to me. I occasionally fiddle around with acrylic paints, but not so much anymore.

Art for me was more of a 'fill the boredom' thing. Never took it seriously. As a result, while I choke and die on complicated things, I can take two ballpoint pens and some crayons that someone left on a bench and make something neat.

I've really gotten inot applying my psp8 program inot doing more than jsut making sigs and avys and little goofy animations recently, alot of the shit I have ond eviant is all computer done....so's this one here-thought i'd plug a piece! lol

i've been working on a umm... reverse sculpture for a long ass time now. I don't know how to describe it. it's a 3-d figure, but it was made by adding stuff on to other things, instead of taking away from. it's made mostly out of wire and a few organic elements. righ now all I have to do is make a base, which I am going to be sculpting out fo clay and then paint the thing. but sicne I don't have those two things, wel i'm not really doing anything.

right now I'm working on a peice of art that's just paper on paper. I dunno, i've been real intersted in simple type pattern designs and tessilations recently.

yeh. francis bacon did all his oil works without sketches. he just went to town on the canvas. interesting stuff. his pope x stuff is good too. they used that piece in the tim burton version of batman, it's the one piece in the art gallery that the joker stopped them from tearing up because he liked it.

What you speak of is a sculpture ussing an additive process verses the evil of the subtractive process. I hate subtractive, it sucks, additives makes it much eassier to repair mistakes. My wirte sculpture was the crappiest crap i have ever done it's made my soul bleed.

anything i can get my hands on i hate goache and screen printing i manily for justa painting i tend to use oils i love um i developed ths tehnique in my exam i went in decidint that i was gonna paint like the futurist balla but it didnt wrk out that way so ive been painting in oils to create this texture although i like to use the water based winsor and newton oil paints because the colours are really vbrant and they dont take so long to dry which is good because of the thiness in which i apply them

oh yeah but i tend cover the canvas in black acrylic 1st because the colours just seem to look beetterplus i like it when the picture dissolves into black at the edges

I finally found a thread here which discusses your artworks! I feel so proud of myself lol.
Well, I use acrylic paints generally when I paint, and when I draw it's with anything from a crappy HB pencil to charcoal.
I drew a couple of pics of Amanda Palmer & Brian Viglione from the Dresden Dolls.

Sorry for the size of the pics, if I reduce them much more with the crappy program I have, i will lose detail.
