Is it safe to have a cell phone when drinking? Ever break one or drunk dial someone you maybe should not have?

i just bought a new phone today because a few weeks ago i left my old phone in a bar.
This isn't the first occasion its happened and it sucks ass everytime.
I generally don't make stupid texts and phone calls while polluted but i've seen some pretty funny scenarios where lonely boys and girls ring up their exs at 2.30 AM on a sunday night only to get blasted out of it.
I also currently have no wallet, also lost in a drunken stupor...gotta get one of those key chain things...
broke one.. damn thing
i've never been one for drunk dialing, i somehow have enough control not to do it even when i'm completely smashed... i do have an ex that i only talk to when one of us drunk IMs the other, tho..
Once I got so drunk when I was at a concert that I called my mom and told her there was a orange imaginary friend running around kicking people in the shins. Ashely dosnt let me make phone calls now when Im drunk.
i find i difficult to think of anything that's safe to do while drunk... aside from - nope. not a damn thing.Originally Posted by incog
unfortunately, i remember in great detail all the asshole things i did while drunk.
A guy I knew had a replacement mobile phone while his was getting fixed. Drunkenly dropped it at a pub, and it smashed into a million pieces.
And as for my boyfriend, he has a tendency to try to text his mates or even myself while drunk, sometimes... and to see what he's doing (if he's had a skinful to drink) he generally has to shut one eye lol.
I haven't broken one yet, but I've made a lot of embarrassing phone calls from strange cities.

I seem to only throw the things at people when I pissed off and sober. When I'm drunk I turn off my phone so the whole damn world ain't callen me for some reason or other.
