  1. #1

Default Nostalgia..or "Hey! I remember that!"

So while working on random crafts and work material...ive been thinking..what ever happened to the stuff i used to watch and play with when i was a kid?

Shows i'd like to see re-run on latenight tv:
    1: Mr Belvedere
    2: Small Wonder
3: You cant do that on Television
    4: 21 Jump Street
    5: Alf
    6: Family Ties
    7: Alien Nation
    8: Mr. Wizard

Toys id like to own again:
    1: The pogo ball
    2: Castle Greyskull..with ooze!
    3: Madballs
4: Anything from the comic book ads..like x-ray glasses that dont work!
5: Anything that said "With real karate chop action!"

    Hrm..what about you guys?

    Even funnier... I was a non-SAG
extra back when I lived in Vancouver,
happened to walk through a shot...
they kept it and paid me.

Have no idea if it ever made it into
production or not, but did get to meet
    the cast and crew.

My cousin used to put Ozzy tapes in his sister's Teddy Ruxpin for our amusment! It was hilarious! I'm only 31, but I have an impeccable memory. I remember seeing the Bay City Rollers and the Partridge family on TV Saturday on morning.

I miss taping pennies to the record player arm to keep it from skipping

dude, i sooooo loved my teddy ruxpin as a kid, and i had a skip-it too, and a couple of popples, i named my basketball one dunk. and eureka's castle, man... i started watching it when i was prolly a little too old for it, but it was still a pretty cool show.

my younger sister was into those pog things, but i wasn't. oh, and she also had these peeper pals, which were stuffed dog things whose eyes opened and lit up when you squeezed them, anyone else remember those?

Hahaha... hell yeah... did you ever do
that 'trick' to stop your 8 track tape
from lagging?... pull a length of it out
from the center then yank it on one
side so the reel would suck it back in.
I had a '78 Ford LTD that had a stock
Panasonic pull out 8 track deck that
would play in a docking station in the
house as well... somewhere I still have
B.O.C. - Agents of Fortune and a whole
    slew of 8 tracks.

And changing out a stylus could always
prove to be a challenge.. unless you had
one of the cheap turntables with the plastic
snap in one... or even better the stylus
that flipped over... diamond on the 33 1/3
side and sapphire on the 78 side.

Yes, you are correct... some just
popped in and out while others had
    that damned screw....

And don't know about anyone else's
organ... but I don't like it when it turns
    colours....

but yeah... I did have one... ordered
and built it from a Heathkit catalouge,
was great fun for those times when
    the acid kicked in.

I remember these dolls called Inhumanoids, they were pretty fucking cool. I had sticker books too, mostly for He-Man (by the way, his name is Musculo in France). I still have Castle Aris from Voltron. I was a big Robotech fan as a kid. and M.A.S.K. by the way, are the DVDs for MASK available in the states? I found them here.
