Fundamentally, we like our community here to be more about substance than promotion, so we try to encourage participative conversation, rather than just 'look at me, I'm over there' type links and such. We are comfortable with links to other communities if those other communities are comfortable with links to us. That just seems kind of fair and reasonable. I haven't looked at that particular site in a while, but last I checked, I think we were not even allowed to buy advertising over there, so I don't know what their issue is, or even if there is one, but I hope you understand that we are sometimes wary of sites that have demonstrated that they are already closed to reciprocation. I think you can put a Blue Blood link in your profile over there, just as you could put a link in your profile here.

I haven't posted any links yet.. I'm still trying to figure out there site. I don't post links from sites that I don't maintain. I typed up a whole blog and then realized I don't know css. So nothing worked out the way I wanted it too, and looked like a bunch of mess. I'm not all about "hey look at me" I have been quite the opposite as of recently and holding back from posting photos and such. I wish I could just erase this thread because it's not what I wanted.

I really wouldn't stress about it or anything, honestly. You don't really need to know any Java or CSS or anything like that just to have a proper conversation about stuff. Like your hairstyle post didn't need any complicated code or whatever, and btw I've totally posted threads about men's hairstyles as well, so you really don't need to worry about it being a superficial concern or whatever, it's a perfectly reasonable thing to talk to folks about. However, you did post a link in this thread, a link to another site which may or may not allow links to us, and as a matter of fact the link was pretty much the entirety of this thread, so we are likely to mention the linking guidelines in an effort to bring folks to a better understanding of our reasoning behind the rules. I hope that makes some sense. It's not that big a deal.

It's ok, I understand all the guidelines and such. I usually don't talk about things off topic but while editing my thread I tried to delete everything but it was already to late. It posted and didn't want to come down. It's not superficial but lol when do I talk about my hair? I really hate having a mohawk somedays. Other than that I understand your concern for not linking to sites that don't allow it. Hope you are well!
