Iam an ecclectic music listener. It totally deends on why i am depressed. If I have lost a freind, I will listen to the music that best reminds of them.
If a midget just died, i listen to circus music.
I am just generally depressed, I fliip the music stations, MP3 player, iTunes, and things till I find something I like. mainly Old scool Techno, Death Metal, and Oldies.

If I am wanting to cheer myself up, I will go for the more upbeat type tunes. If I feel the need to get rid of the pain through music, I will just play songs that help me work through it no matter how painful it is. I don't like to carry around grief.

sum 41 always cheers me up. but then again i think that has something to do with how much i erm obsess(wow i suddenly CANT spell that word for anything) over them.

yeah i mainly listen to some really hard music no matter what mood im in... devildriver mostly, im stuck on them... godsmack sometimes, alot of music like that. i dont get depressed too often.

that is the most soothing sound in all the world.
also this one night when my grandfather took us to galveston. our hotel was sort of on the water. & yeah me & my brother left the door open & i was out in like 1 minute.
it was so soothing.
