I think, based on the games that are considered to be sports, they meet the following criteria:

-a game that involves skill/ability to perform

-is governed by a defined set of rules for play

-involves at least two people competing against each other

-points are scored based on the completion of a certain task

- an external object is used in play
(The exception to this rule would be wrestling, which I feel is a sport.)

-players interact within a set area

-uses more then one body part in play

(I think these last two are the one's that really separate legitimate professional sports from games of skill such as bowling, darts, pool, etc.)

also on that note:
American football should be called "hand ball". the game formerly called hand ball will lose the right to the name, it's not even a real sport anyway, it's just racketball for people that are too cheap to buy rackets.
American soccer should revert back to being called football. Since the ball does not touch the bases, and the name is a misnomer, american "baseball" should either take the name "batball" or "mittball". Cricket should be banned as a sport, bowling should be called "laning", and tennis should be called "fifteenis".

omg.
someone got really bored and bought a unicycle... then decided to get hardcore with it haha...
but... ive seen those fire eating/breathing dudes on big huge like 10 foot tall unicycles... that was pretty extreme haha!!
