Rob actually QUIT. He broke the addiction and reinstalled Life. The gaem it self is awesome and great for playing, jsut don't let your life revolve around playing.
(Any one else here notice that the month after I start playing Rob quits? He begs and pleads for me ot play with him for 2 years and then I start, he stops. Is there something wrong with me?)

Same thing with diablo, this dude we knew as soon as he started playing it we never heard from him again, im not even playing.
I got in on the beta, even though my Mac was underpowered. I didn't have any problems with it though. I wish I could buy it and play, but I can't justify the expense right now. First online game I really enjoyed playing.
i dunno. i never understood the need to purchase a game..and then have to purchase "time" to play it.
I guess thats why i liked diablo and never picked up wow. Seeing as diablo sucked me in for weeks, i finally put it down.
Whereas im sure wow would suck me in for weeks too, i for one:
1: Dont have any free time hardly anymore.
2: Dont want to purchase a $50 game and then have to purchase a subscription to play the game.
I understand that millions of people are playing and there are servers and whatnot to take care of, but sheesh. But obviously it works for Blizzard as it doesnt look like it will slow down any time soon!
I played for a while, really enjoyed it, but around level 39 I just kinda hit a wall and it hasn't been as interesting. Not sure if it's the tasks at that level or the environments or what, but it just kinda stalled out as far as entertainment goes. I think part of it is that by around those levels you are kind of expected to start working in groups or parties, and I just don't have the time I can set aside for that. It is fun though.
I played it for awhile. It's not for everyone however. I recommend doing what Lady Alias suggested and doing the trial.
I do like to take walks in the game though. Just wandering around and enjoying the weather and the detailed environment.

I second Voldta. Having to pay money every month to play was bothersome to me.
And Black Spiral Dancer...very eeriely humourous; I can see it as "based on a true story". Heh heh.
diablos not that bad....it's better than solitaire
Its kind of convienent that my internet connection won't stay connected for more than 3 hours. Haha. But damn this game is highly addicting.
dude, you so shoulda watched tonight southpark!
Dude I so did!!! hahaha I got such a kick out of it!
I felt like such a dork watching that episode tonight. I recognised the music from Molten Core *sad now* but that was awesome. rpg/pvp server and all.
<~~~ Is a DoRK

my boyfriend plays WoW all of the time! when we first met he didnt play but after a fortnight the cravings kicked in..it was like having another person in our relaionship, except the third party was a pixelated paladin!
things are ok now, he seems less addicted since his character reached level 60 but i know when the add-on pack comes out it'll be just as bad! he did manage to get me to play too, though he seemed disappointed i chose to be horde
i missed the blasted south park:'( i also play the game. i love it; but im not really 'addicted' to it. it was the world and its aesthetic that hooked me. like Forrest said, i love to just walk around. i have a few characters on different servers, both horde and alliance. none of them are above mid 40th level. i get bored and lost after that point and roll up a new character.
Man I'm such an UBER noob. I've got two characters, one's 7 and one's 4. I keep dying at the Jasperlode Mine though it SUCKS.
is jasperlode mine the one with the weird little mining rats?
i have 2 characters too now, my tauren who is level 25 i think and a level 23 nightelf, both hunters. tried to play as a human warrior once but kept dying in one shitty mine, i just could not learn how not to pull every rat in the place!
in a ratlike voice, "you no take candle!"
ah, such stupid little rats!
Okay, I just bought a copy of WoW. Best Buy had it for $19.99. Now to find the free time to be able to play the thing and FFXII while trying to go to school, do homework and work a full-time job, plus keep the wife happy, not to mention shooting video and photos for the documentary.
Who needs sleep?
So, I've installed WoW now. Where is everybody? Is there a BlueBlood Guild?
lol I play eq2 not wow i prefer good gameplay and non shitty graphics and to me WoW is pretty shitty graphics ESPECIALLY for a pc game online or not, it's like ps1 wtf. and being able to level to the highest level in a month? Lame
I played for a little bit but I prefer FFXI and EVE Online
I got hooked up on 9dragons for a change... awesome kung fu game with sweet graphics... it's still under beta version
if anyone decides to try it and find acclaim server very 1337 and full of youngsters then come to european server which is for change very pleasant and more mature
acclaim (usa) link is www.9dragonsgame.com
persistent worlds (europa) link is www.9dragonsonline.com
my ingame name is OliX and I'm in heavenly deamons clan, evilest of all
there's 6 clans, 3black and 3 white...shaolin, league of beggars and wu tang are white ones and broterhood of thieves, secret flower and heavenly deamon clan
good thing about this game is that you get bored of it after couple hours so you can include some life thingy, see your mates and stuff
City of Villians for me.. ill pass on the rest
If anyone is interested in a good WoW Podcast I can totally recommend these guys:

I quit WoW awhile ago...it never sucked me in like I thought it would...I mean I'd play for 7 or 8 hrs straight and go to bed at 5 am..but that got old quick so I dropped it.
