Screamfest, Combichrist/KMFDM

I have returned back home now...and with almost nothing to show for it.

Man talk about a crappy Oct. 13th. We were to vend at Screamfest Horror Convention this past oct 13th - 15th. We drove from Atlanta to Orlando, made it in around 11PM or so.. and met up with our own Keiko and Rob (they were sharing a room with us)

I go to get our room, everythings fine...but i paid for a double king... they gave me a single king and said they didnt have any doubles left.
They then said and i quote" Ok i lied..we do have double kings"

Then give me what i paid for!

Anyways they ask for my credit card for resort fee's (standard 7$, im used to it)

Me, my wife, Keiko and Rob all get to our room and start unpacking. Then I threw on a wig we made onto Keiko.


Hotness.

It was about 12 PM and They said they wanted to go to sleep early so they can get up early.
3:30 AM or so rolls around and were all still up

Next Day:

I go to book our table, and they say have no tables left... ARGH! Then they found one for us!...out in the hallway turned towards a wall... no biggie i guess..we didnt come down here for nothing.

I go to pay with my credit card and it keeps declining. I get on my laptop and find that the hotel has taken a hold on my vending money for the resort fee when they said there would be nothing taken until the end of my stay. They took out $300!

Great..a table in the corner (again not THAT big of a deal...its what i get for being late) but on top of it the hotel takes our vending fee!
I eventually make em cough it back up in cash and they said it was a clerk error.

We eventually got the table, and set up shop...almost 3 hours late.
Keiko and Rob helped us out and then ran around doing promo for us and handing out coupons.


Eventually the weekend ended and in the end we lost about $200 from going. Our first ever loss.
But without Keiko's and Rob's help im sure we would have made a lot less.

They go home..we all snapped a few photos before they left.
In the end it wasnt a bad weekend, but i wish it could have gone better.
I did get to meet Tony Todd (Candyman), Tom Savini, Patricia Quinn (RHPS), George Wilbur (Halloween), The Lost Boys, Linnea Quigley (Return of the living dead), Meinhardt Raabe (The munchkin king in Wizard of Oz) among others. All of them extremely nice. Linnea Quigley came by our booth and said she wanted some falls for her next project. It made us giddy

Anywho me and the wifey decided to stay another day and go to the Combichrist/KMFDM show.
It was a blast. It was the first time in 6 years that we were able to finally see Andy perform.
6 Years ago we were to see him with Icon of Coil, but a roomate hid the keys so we couldnt go. Then last April we were to see him with Combi but she blew out her knee seconds before they came on..finally this time we got to see a full show! And they rocked it

KMFDM we wish could have actually done a "show" but they just kinda stood there..still good though..but my wifey grew up with Sascha so it was no biggie..it was just another show for her.

After the show we got to meet Andy and tell him hi and that we were sorry for delaying their April show with the knee accident. He said it was fine and thats what they call getting CC'd.
And dear I say he is one of the nicest people ive ever met.

Sounds like aside from the card nonsense fun. Cute pictures too. Kmfdm and Combichrist are coming here but I don't think we can go or we might've missed it.

I wish I could have been at the concert. but the accursed weekend was still fun. The plushie I'm holdin is Aleister. Voltaire gave him to me.

I hope the Wyndum had fun getting beer soaked rice out of th audatorium after th RHPS fiasco. (hosted by Patricia Quinn = AWESOME!)

those arnt decent pics of us lol..those are "weve been up for way too long and had 1 second of peace" pics ehehe... i didnt even get all dressed up :P

but never the less it was a total blast.
