Hi all,

I've just joined here, and figured I'd tell you a little about myself.

I'm Kat, I'm Australian, and have just moved to New Zealand. I'm an occasional freelance writer, would love to find steady work doing it, but not holding my breath on that.

I adore history, music and my computer. I read like someone just told me books are about to be banned, particularly horror, crime, non-fiction and fantasy. I spend hours online, writing, chatting to all my friends - who seem to be everywhere in the world but where I am, and filling my blog with the minutae of my life. I'm also dyslexic, so advance apologies for any odd spelling or wording.

Hopefully, I'll get to meet some interesting and fun people here.

Nice to meet you too

For my personal writing, it would fall somewhere between fantasy and horror, because I like changing the rules of reality at times. Other times, I write for a couple of friends websites, which is social commentary mixed with black humour, or humour inspired by some random thing I've seen somewhere.

For my freelance, well, thats whatever pays at the moment. Most recently was regular content for, of all things, a now-defunct EDM radio station's website, and work on a 500+ page submission/proposal for a government contract.
