mmmmmmm snails yum yum yum.....with cheese....the reason why smart hikers bring along a candle
Escargot are awesome garlic carriers!
I've never had them...but man that sounds really freakin good
it is AWESOME janiac, i highly reccomend it. if you see escargot as an appetizer on the menu next resteraunt you go to definitely try it. (plus then they come with mushrooms on top and theyre tasty too!)
never heard of eating them with cheeze though mr karl... actually ive never heard of eating any kind of shelfish with cheeze... but i like shelfish and i like cheeze!!
I've seen snails living on a rusty shovel in a shed. They should stay there.
thems not eatin snails...
I did see them at an awesome restaurant in Milwaukee..I will have to opt for that instead of the fried brie next time. *tummy rumbles*Originally Posted by mmmcherry
I used to love them when I was young. My Mom and I would get them, but no place I've gotten them since then has made them exactly the same way so they never taste right to me anymore.
You don't qualify as young anymore?Originally Posted by ForrestBlack
do they taste more like oyesters or clams? because I like oyesters but clams are gag worthy to me.
So very excellent, if done right... as any kind of
delicate foods are... funny thing is, it was one of
the first dishes I learned to make during my time
in culinary school (using a microwave, of all things)
escargot is super yummy. it was on of my first real foods at a toddler. then when we moved overseas, i would get them almost all the time when we went out to eat. i get them whenever i can at fancy restaurants. not often out where i live tho.
hahaa mmmmm... i dunno about microwave snails hahaa...
camby... they dont really taste like oysters or clams... i cant eat clams either heh... twice ive had clams and twice ive had SAND *gag*
but theyre good... i highly reccomend them
Well, given that I'm talking about the kind of
microwaves you don't generally find in most
homes.. unless they have an extreme assload
of disposable income, are food service professionals
or just eat that much, that fast and can't wait for
a conventional microwave to finish cooking.
I'm talking about the kind of brushed stainless steel
nuclear powered boxes that will brown and cook
an 18 pound turkey in about 4 hours... the kind of
microwave that has enough power that I'm sure after
standing in front of one for enough years will make
your balls glow in the dark and render you sterile.
(Remember the dehydrator I showed you, Cherry...
the nice stainless steel one that you can turn
an entire cattle ranch into jerky in a matter of days.
The one that was as big as your apartment...
talking THAT kind of food service type of equipment.)
I think they are more like oysters than clams...don't care much for clams. they're sort of rubery with just the right amount surace tension when you bite into them
what, the dehydrator you were gonna get me for my birthday hempknight?? ... yeah i wish haha... once i live in my mansion. ill make beef jerky for a living... and... snail jerky!?? omg! haha...
ugh rubbery anything makes me want to gag heh :S
I've had them three times and loved them all three times, but it's been about 15 years.
It was when I was like 8 or 9.Originally Posted by Janiac02

I don't think escargot really tastes like either. A little like calamari maybe, although traditionally prepared and spiced totally differently.
I would love to try them... I am have French after all
go for it BC doooo it... yum!
Yeah, that does indeed make a differenceOriginally Posted by ForrestBlack

Tell ya what, when you get your mansion, we'll
split it and you can do your jerky on one side
and I'll do my weed on the other... give a new
meaning 'high and dry'.
Love them!!! Then again, anything in garlic and butter is good!

I've never had escargot. I'm not even certain of who serves them around here that isn't all hoity-toity and over-priced.
HMM if theres a keg steakhouse by you they do... theyre a little bit overpriced haha... but their steaks and snails are worth it. anything else... not so much. i dont want a 15 dollar caesar salad thanx!
BC... a pound of which, pot or jerky... maybe jerky that gets you high??? that would be interesting. dunno how you could manage to make it, but im sure hempknight could figure it out... hes the master stoner!
Escargot, w/ properly seasoned garlic butter, can be an amazing dish.
