Make your Own Light Art

I found a link on the web about making light art photos so I decided to give it a try!

What you need:
A Camera with a long exposure setting (mine is 16 seconds)
A dark room
A flashlight (or in my case a flashlight and lighter)

Stand in front of the camera...and draw. Thats it. If you can do it, i'd like to see what you came up with!

Ah ha... I was waiting for someone to ask...
you sir, are the winner... and you won an
answer.

And here's the kicker... it was taken in 1950..
by Gjon Mili, who happens to be the godfather
pioneer of electronic flash photography.

The technique used was a long shutter speed
in total darkness while Picasso 'drew' the minotaur,
at the moment he finished and in a stationary
position the flash was fired to capture his image
as well as the background.

Simply astounding and ground breaking in those
days, not to mention today.. it is something that
requires a bit a practice and patience but can be
recreated.

freaky... i like it my uncle used to make light art but not like this... i dunno how he did it, but he would make real trippy looking photos from car headlights and stuff... looked like space photos it was awesome.
