to 900 posts.

Only took almost 3 years...
its not that I don't have a lot
to say... because I do and
usually just say what I need
to that's all... there are also
many times though that I
just bite my tongue to let
cooler heads prevail.

And I know many of you have
tons more postings in a shorter
time... some are kind of like
Seinfeld... a lot about nothing
and then again there have been
some deep ponderings of the
universe and other such debates
here as well.

And then there are some of you
just don't know when to shut
the fuck up.

Luckily I've been around long enough
that most of the drama and the ones
who caused most of the asshattery
around here are gone, long gone....
but at the same time there are many
of the original old friends that are gone
as well... then there are the handful of
you fucks that just won't leave.

But it happens... that's what makes it
feel like home here, wouldn't trade it
for much else...

...there's another board that i've been a member of twice as long, where the conversation used to be pretty intense, and meaningful, and i've only managed to eek out around 670 posts in all that time. (although the seinfeldesque 'duh, yah' posts are pretty much not in evidence over there, so there you go.)

i was checking up on an old poster aqquaintence from a few other boards i used to go to back in the day, and he had something like 9,000 posts on one board, and 7,000 on another... not to mention the 4,600+ on his own brand new board... WTF? who has time to post that much??? and those aren't even the boards we used to both post on!!!

...anyway, what a strange past time all of this is, eh?

the threats were quite laughable, but *sigh* they have all
long since departed.

Talk about mega postings, a friend of mine once racked up
like 26,000 in less than 6 months... on a RPG forum. That
poor bastard didn't have a life, even though he went to school
and worked full time.. he still spent every waking hour online.
