Yeah, hypothtical situation here........
Don't you hate it when someone tells you everyone is talking about them, names people who have supposedly heard the rumors and are obviously judging them based on these falsities (and, by the way, shouldn't listen to those rumors cause they should form their own opinion), and then tells you all the rumors that could be in circulation emphasising numerous times how outlandish it is that people are talking about them and how you shouldn't believe anything you hear?
That shiiiiiite drives me nuts.
First of all, it defeats it's own purpose. In revealing this supposed gossip one is only perptuating the spreading of horrific lies. In bringing it up at all, when there is no evidence that you have heard these supposed rumors, they are not only gossiping but they are gossiping about themselves, (which is even worse), and trying to put themselves on some sort of pedestal in which they are so important that not only are people talking about them but those peope (evil little fuckers) have gone out of their way to seek you out on the internet to inform you of such lies (despite the fact that you only met this person, who, hypothetically is having their reputation slandred, at a party one time at 3 am)
