Who's going to SXSW?

I just bought my badge to the Interactive event (March 7-11). Now trying to decide where to stay. If you've been before, what will I be paying to get back and forth from the hotel to the convention center (maybe 12 blocks)?

Man, I wish I knew you were going to go when I decided to skip it this year.

12 blocks is not that big a deal. It is a fun area to walk and cabs are pretty plentiful during the show. If you get an aging hippy chick who seems to always wear the same yellow T who tells you she does not have change for your $20, she does.

Oh, for what it's worth, I've always stayed at the Hilton for Interactive. No reason to make things more difficult than they will be anyway.

Poop! Yeah, I really just decided to go today, although I'd been kicking it around for a week or so. You can still register, of course...

Nearby hotels like the Hilton are all booked up by now, so I had to get something farther. I have foot problems that kinda preclude me from walking a whole lot, so cabs will be what I need. I'm staying right by UT Austin.
