isn't gonna be able to do the remake of Dirty Dancing as planned.
But he will be involved in the remake of "Ghost" five weeks from now.

Uh, dude, pancreatic cancer is the closest thing you can have to a certain death sentence.
Five year mortality rate from it is 98%.
They told my Grandpa something like that. He beat it for over 12 years. Like I said, I wish the man the best of luck on a full recovery. If it's his time, I'm sure he'll face it with the courage I'm seeing reported on.Originally Posted by Bikerpunk

By definition, 98% mortality rate means 2% make it....Originally Posted by One Eyed Cat

I think wishing a person luck under the circumstances would be the thing to do. I don't know Swayze. You posted it here for some reason. Thus, I wish the man well. I'm sure he'll face it with courage.

That it is, and yes he will, but grave humour is something we all have to some degree.Originally Posted by One Eyed Cat
Definitely. Nothing wrong with it. I just noticed the cancer part. I didn't "get" the first post not knowing he was ill + the movie reference.Originally Posted by Bikerpunk
when I first read this thread I thought that patrick swayze was going to be doing some more sweet movies.
thanks a lot, you dick.
He is making movies as we speak, Morning Glory.
Still smoking 60 a day, as well, sadly.
I was just kidding, kind of. but it does seem a weird way to announce that a guy is going to die.
its a shame. hope he gets well as i havent seen a film of his that made me hurl the TV out of the window in disgust so i do genuinely wish him well
