I think a lot of us just have an interest in politics. We probably all come across as depressing at times. The situation is serious and hard to understand. We all desperately want to hope, but none among us should lie to ourselves either.

The whole dating thing will sort itself out for you. It is different these days though. I'm still thrown for a loop at times.

I second this motion. Except maybe lose the antidepressants. In my experience, ice cream has amazing properties beyond its cool, satisfying creaminess. I vote for 'Mayan Chocolate' Hagen Daaz. Cinnamon and chocolate? Add sex and you have a sinner's paradise.

I'll examine my "don't complain" here.

People don't like complains all the time. When they ask "How are you?" they expect "I'm fine" for an answer and not "My hemorrhoids are giving me pain in the ass".

I used to complain a lot to gain "Oh you poor thing" feeling in people until I realized it's depressing and people doesn't like that.
I have feeling you do that too. That's why I said don't complain

I tend toward being overly serious and thus depressing sometimes... it seems to help to think about my favorite fetishes - scan the room and imagine then smile to myself... people want to know what i'm thinking - then i don't tell them ... just smile and say something completely off the wall, out of the blue, unexpected - sassy or kinky. of course this only works in non-professional settings - but it does work... it's a mind set thing mostly i think... the world and all of its depressing things will continue to spin regardless so might as well try to enjoy some free happy moments in the mean time.
