I used to think this was a myth...
but theirs actually truth to this...
WHY?

As a general rule, darker drinks contain more alcoholic impurities called congeners. These impurities cause inflammation, and in turn, a worse hangover. If You're taking in multiple different types of fermented products the chance of having a higher congener concentration to induce that inflammation may be higher.

So mixing your drinks won't always give you a worse hangover. The real culprit, apart from alcoholic volume, is the amount of congeners. Vodka and gin are the safest for hangovers.

Also sugary drinks are horrible, the forced metabolism of the sugar depletes your vitamins and causes a worse hangover.

Chemical Dehydration of the brain, is the root what hangover is. Drink water while you are drinking or drink a few glasses before you crash you will be will better that you are now.

Pull my hair, has said it better than I could... I think so the it is the grade of alcohol that you drink as alot to do with. I've found out over personal experience that better grades of dark or lite alcohol means less of hang over. From scotch, cognac, then to gray goose... I can drink all night and be fine the next day. I have got hammered on Rum runners with 151 floater..after about 8 of those you start doing stupid crap like doing irish Car bombs with tequila and Guinness .

when I in mood to drink heavy, I will always have a glass water with what ever I am drinking to maintain that buzz and not get trash. also help to void the hangover, water is the over all key to everything.

What Bacchus88 said. When you drink alot of alcohol your body gets dehydrated quickly which leads to headaches, bodyaches etc.. How many of you have woken up in the middle of the night after alot of drink with cotton mouth?
