Apparently this political voting has prompted the eurovision officials to amend the semi-final process this year. Only those countries guaranteed a place in the final (England, France, Germany and Spain), due to bank-rolling the competition, have been allowed to vote. Last night was the turn of the Eastern Block semi-final voted for by England and France to attempt to prevent any favouritism.

I'm sorry to admit that i do watch it, if not purely because i am a student with little else to do but because i enjoy horrendously bad acts.
