What is the scariest movie you ever saw?

And for you tough studs and studettes, don't say, "Scary movies don't scare me." Not because they do, but I find it extremely hard that NO scary horror movie....At least one....didn't ever scare you or creep you out.

For the most part, hardly any horror movies scare me in the least, but if I picked the one that really creeped me out....Gave me the heebie jeebies and all that shit....I'd still have to say, "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"....The original...


Even now if I turn out the lights and watch it alone, it still freaks me out a bit and I've seen the flick like 15 times....

I think it's because of the grainy film, freaky sounds (like the eerie instamatic camera sound going off), no musical soundtrack which brings a certain bit of realism and the fact that I just know that in certain, pretty empty rural farm towns, I wouldn't doubt that weird shit like this goes on.

the newer cut of the Exorcist, mainly because I saw it at the theater and I was totally ripped on acid, the part where she spider walks down the steps scared the shit out of me.

I'm really not scared by movies at all really, other than stuff like that.

I remember watching Fail-safe in the 70s, when it was so close to the truth it scared the pants off people. The Kids of Today are used to movies where the world ends in flames, but back then Hollywood was a happy-ending factory, so it stood out a mile.
