Twin Peaks mos def (just check out my "ACTS" page over at cyberden (dot) com to hear my special message from the Log Lady) but if you're wanting a similar vibe, look for Lars Von Trier's Kingdom Hospital aka The Kingdom (parts 1 and 2). He admits to being influenced by TP and it shows.
Being cult however, I will skip anything modern or past TP and jump straight into it... THE WALLY GEORGE SHOW! lol
Animated..Aeon Flux Totally hot bod drawn out there, and made it even better for Charlize Theron to play the part in the film.
The Morton Downey Jr. show...Just like Wally George...Great shows back in the day...
The Young Ones
Night Flight
Like Vitorro...I go with MTV's Liquid Television.
MST3000
Lost and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (OMFG 2 EPS LEFT)
and I don't know if it's considered culty, but Heroes
Umm...maybe this is a stupid question but how do you define a cult show? I thought it was supposed to be something obscure but those all seem pretty mainstream to me.Originally Posted by Lady Alias

Yeah, I was a little confused about that. I took it as a show that had a devoted fanbase (that probably engages in activities relating to it outside of just watching it). Like, Mystery Science folk put on their own show, Lost folk exchange conspiracy theories, etc. Sorry for misinterpreting it.Originally Posted by LeilaHazlett
David Letterman, but from the 80's... his original show. Crazy ass shit that was.
Just got done watching the whole measely one season of Firefly. only the good die young.
Have you seen the movie yet?Originally Posted by Buster Friendly

thing is that Firefly was supposed to be a 5-7 year story. Whedon's past efforts seemed to warrant this (y'know, a little show that was minorly popular called "buffy" I hear the kids liked it)... that's years more of this story that I wanted to see... fookin' fox exec's....
I guess Farscape had a good run though.
I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me.Originally Posted by Buster Friendly
Yeah, the movie kind of jumped ahead a few years. I'd like to know alot of Shephard's back story and how he got all involved with where he was on that planet and shit. That was a great show. Just another show Fox killed off waaaayyyy too early. They're really good at doing that.Originally Posted by Buster Friendly

did anyone ever watch Wonderfalls? I loved that show How about American Gothic? that wasnt bad either, both 1 season wonders.
That's exactly what it is. A show that got almost cult-like fan base. Or a show worth worshiping.Originally Posted by Lady Alias

Speacing of fox showacides, I really liked Wonderfalls. It lasted four episodes on TV, but the cult of Wonderfalls got the first season out on DvD.
A twenty something slacker suddenly has plastic animals talking to her and having her do weird things that fix peoples lives. I avoided watching it at first cause the premise sounded stupid, but I trusted friend got me hooked with one exchange.
Been hooked ever since. Well, for one season it never got a second. In a surprising move fox aired the episodes out of order and changed the time slot without really telling anyone.ER Doctor, "You know the Bic round is the preferred pen for emergency tracheotomies?"
Jaye, "Not tonight."
I am starting to think the Fox network is a cunning plot to get us to watch less TV.
Futurama rocked! I hope they do new DVD's.Originally Posted by OliX

I love that show but I gotta admit that their movies sucked. Maybe last one was a so-so, ok one. I heard a rumor thought that show is about to continue again.
Well, I think the movies were good(not great), BUT they didn't need to be 1 1/2 long. It's too long for a premise for this kind of show. They should have just made 3 different episodes and put them on a DVD...With a new DVD with 3 new episodes coming out every 3-6 months. This whole putting out a "movie" on DVD and then cutting it up to show in three episodes on T.V. was not a brilliant idea.Originally Posted by OliX
wonderfalls. dunno if it counts, but it lasted a whole 4 episodes a few years back on fox.... i bought the dvd of the whole season. damn that show was amazing. *oh, hi, someone beat me to it, i just saw*
my so-called life...

We still have to watch the 2nd season but keep delaying due to knowing it just dies there... great first season though. Too bad Lynch didn't get involved. Could of saved it.Originally Posted by VoltaireBlue

its really very good; see it. its awesome. I wasn't thrilled about the final episode but I guess that's how they chose to tie it up, given that they knew they were going to get cancelled.Originally Posted by DJ Bat
