Not in quick reply. You need to hit advanced, which is somewhat confusing because we never used to have that button except through quick reply.

Either that or it was fixed in the last three hours.

Huh I did go advanced and the posts I quoted aren't there. So unless this board does it some different way than every other forum I've used, I'm missing something.

The multi-quote button has a little plus on it and if you click it, it toggles to have a little minus sign on it. Toggle the ones you want to quote and then hit advanced reply or 'quote'. Either one works.

There is a button in the lower right of each post that looks like this:


If you click it, it changes to look like this:


If you click it again, it goes back to this:


Much like a light switch. That is toggling. Setting something to an on or off position.

So, if for some reason you wanted to respond to three people at once, you would toggle each of their posts and then hit quote or advanced reply, and each of their posts would be quoted in your new response post. The trick seems to be to remember to turn them back off when you are done, or it gets messy the next time you respond.

Friends system works OK it seems, though possibly the checkbox overlaid with the avatar might not be obvious to people, even with the text explanation.

If you navigate to someone's profile, there is a little link for 'Befriend So-and-so' that gives you the option to make them a contact and/or a friend. Also, if you click the persons username in the thread, it drops down a little menu. You can select 'Add So-and-so to Your Contacts' and it gives you an option there as well.

There is a little link in the lighter purple navigation bar above for 'community' which drops down a few new options. Social Groups, Pictures & Albums, Contacts and Friends. That is where you can quickly find the social groups, albums, and such. I'll probably make it more obvious shortly.

Well, there's now a social group with a discussion topic in it. We're straying very close to infinitely-recursive social networking, and frankly that can't come soon enough.

Boards are so mainstream; the 133t alt surfer demands a sub-sub-sub-board where they're the only member and can moderate their own posts for straying off topic.

WORD! loving the multi-quote! i've been waiting for this. it was so convoluted before, trying to post multiple quotes....
