    Default Is Romance Really dead???

I often ask myself this question when I am up late at night during those wonderful bouts with Insomnia. Thus far everyone I've ever had an intimate relationship with over the past few years never liked the fact I'd like to be romantic. After a breakup many would seek out the same old shit and abuse they were used to. Is this the only way some people can feel alive. Actually caring for another person uncoditionally is something I think is one of the most important foundations to a good relationship. I don't mean smothering the poor soul, but giving a damn about someone you might actually have feelings for. Maybe I'm just a Dinosaur in this brand of thinking.

If romance dies, so do I. I think the fact that I want a romantic relationship is the reason that many females are scared fo dating me. I guess thats how it goes, however, and once in a while I get lucky and end up with someone who has their head on their shoulders.
Then they stab me in the back.
Solution; find someone as dedicated as me.

Romance isn't dead, I don't think. Both my fiance and I are very romantic people, and can be very passionate about our beliefs. (This can start fights at times, but it never makes us really angry at eachother.)

I sometimes wonder if I'm the only person on earth whom isn't afraid to comment to another if the love is there.

    My Chemical Romance

I don't know, that doesn't have to do with anything.

I just wanted to sound cool.

    It's not dead.

People are just jaded and skeptical, because of so many failed romances.

The key to keeping it alive, is to realize that it is not your love that
failed, it is the relationship. Some people are just not compatible.
Some people just do not do things the right way. So if things
have not worked out, go try with someone else.

Too many peope give up on love, because they get hurt,
    betrayed, let down, etc...

It does not mean love is a bad idea.

Just that you picked the wrong person.

I find most of the people that whine about 'romance being dead' are bitter women who haven't 'found the the right one' and are completely hung up on it. Little girls who've dreamed about their wedding day since they were 9 years old wondering why they scare off ANY sensible man that looks their way.

    By my observation, anyway.

I think it's important to treat everyone you are in a relationship with well, whether they are friends, lovers, or family. I love to take my companions out and show them a good time, I never forget a birthday, and sometimes I just get someone a little something sweet just 'cus I was thinking about them.
If caring about people and treating them right is romantic then I'm all there! But if it means claiming your OWNERSHIP of someone with a RING, then HELL NO I'm not romantic!

Bwahaha! Yeah, I know lots of girls who say they are romantic because they are lazy and want a man to take care of them, "whisk them off their feet."

Oh god, I just wrote an entire screenplay about this... Yes a lot of people just don't want to feel anything. They block out their emotions with drugs, or stay in a dismal co-dependent relationship, happy to be miserable!!

It will tear you apart if you let it! I just had to get away from those people. It is not easy.

No one should be treated as an object, unless they want to be!
Of course, neither should men. Women could be objectified as the "beautiful play thing," for your viewing pleasure (what do you think we are doing here, on blue blood?). Men can be objectified as easily as the "bread winner," the provider. Here he is, to save his damsel in distress, to give his princess anything! Bwahaha whatever!

Romance, much like everything else in this world is purely spectulative. One mans (or womens) romance is another mans (or womens) kink. Is it dead.. never , it just looks different. Is it any more or less romantic to have a Star Trek wedding than a tradition one with a priest? Personally i find a hardcore leather girl covered in tats and piercings to be very romantic. I can't help but too swoon like a school girl over 90% of the incredible models of Blue Blood/Goth sluts etc.

That's great that you are going to law school! You can be my lawyer...

I just sent a fax to Johnny Depp.. He should get the script today... I told him that the script was written by a member of THE NUNS the punk band from California...

Well, I have to say SOMETHING that no one else has said to him, so that was it!!!

Romance as a whole has been replaced by moving gifs, fictitious surnames and false profiles set to tease, tantalize those trapped buy the glowing internets, sex on the other hand is alive and not that digital I.e. representations of of this guilt self ridden industry know as porn; I mean that long term friend or that scratched out name in the back of the little black book also for that matter the little black book ideology. Where is the women that pulls her share, that says I cant do it now but give me time to thank about it, how about next week, or the guy that say can my girlfriend come. Cheating husbands, boyfriends, forgotten lovers. Where is the one she, he, it, dog, cat; I miss love, I miss romance
