My father-in-law has become such a right Republican over the last year. It's killing me. We have always gotten along but, Jeez, the shit that comes out of his mouth lately...

I was over his house yesterday and he brought up Palin. He was going on and on about how poor Palin is getting such bad press that she finally had to throw in the towel because she couldn't deal with it anymore. Then he, of course, changes his tune 180 degrees and brings up that she's priming for the 2012 election. Of course, I'm just biting my tongue the whole time because, OF COURSE, that's why she stepped down, but he doesn't even recognize that it wasn't about the bad publicity. Or at least, she's hoping the bad publicity will go away so she will seem like a more viable candidate for the presidency.

So, I look at him and say, "Yeah, but isn't it all ridiculous. I mean, who is going to vote for her?" and he says, "Oh, I would, in a flash. I think she's great!".

And I'm just sitting there, biting my tongue some more....

It amazes me how this, once, intelligent man has turned into a brain-dead zombie over night.

The leftist Democrats and the right Republicans....They all seem like a cult, where you throw away your brain and just believe EVERYTHING that you hear from your party, no matter what.
