Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys are my favorite bands. I like high energy dance music and DJ mixes by Paul Oakenfield, Paul Van Dyk, Kascada and others. I like other 80's synth bands, Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, Human League, Erasure, ODM and others such as Kraftwerk.
Older bands I like are the Doors and the Moody Blues.

Go listen to Mad Sin, Nekromantics, Koffin Kats, some of Hank Williams III faster stuff, Horror Pops, Johnny O and the Jerks, and Reverend Horton Heat. That'll give you a god idea of the genre.

Ugh. Reverend Horton Heat. Good music, but he's an asshole with a big mouth. I know too many people who've gotten in fist fights with him because he doesn't like leaving people's girlfriends alone after he finds out they are taken.

Industrial, dark electro, psytrance; darker rock brands (industrial, shock, goth, death).

Anything with a dark sound, edgy themes and clever lyrics.

Metal lacks finesse in my ears, but the album covers are the best of any genre.

Almost all kinds of music. But generally aggressive in style.

Classic Rock, Metal, Thrash, Deathrock, Punk, Psychobilly, Trance, EBM, Powernoise, Goth, Industrial, Pop, Reggaeton, Gangster Rap, Alternative, and tons of other random music that doesn't really even fit into a category...

I don't tend to like country, jazz, blues...
Some music I can tell is technically good, like Jazz, but it just doesn't get me pumped.

I discovered her and Nightwish this summer. I actually like Tarja's my winter storm best out of all her stuff. It's rare finding someone in america who knows her, even though she's incredibly popular everywhere else.
