I hate when people preface something with "Now don't be mad...."
I hate when people preface something with "Now don't be mad...."
I hate the whole Dumping Speech. (It's me not you!; I need some space!; We need to see other people!; We've grown too far apart.; I love you but I'm not in love with you.) that sort of thing...
"I don't want to offend anybody but..."
"I don't want to sound racist or anything but..."
"I know it's not 'politically correct' to say but..."
If you find yourself saying any of those things, you are about a half second away from saying something stupid that is, despite what you just said, it is going to be offensive. And as far as politically correct goes, any time I hear that I have to brace myself for the storm of stupidity that inevitably follows.
I know a lot of people who say offensive and not 'politically correct' shit all the time, but they don't take the time to try to excuse it. They say what they have to say and move on.
People who say "literally".
"Man, it was like, literally the best cheesecake in the universe!"
implying that we've checked recipes on Tattooine and found them wanting.
oh, and like.. people who think every punctuation mark has to be prefixed with "like". It's one of those things "the youth of today" do that people of my vintage find annoying, the other being the drop in the use of "forsooth!".
i hate being told by a women they think of me as a friend when i just wanna get into their pants
"hunny, my mothers coming over"
a piece of me dies EVERY time i hear that since she's the woman i hate most in the world for good reason
I only use the term litteraly if it may be construed that I am refering to something metaphorically or figuratively, and needs the clarification.
such as "I was pissing blood, litteraly."
What bothers me is when people don't enunciate properly. The other day, this guy kept pronouncing "significant" as "sin-if-icant". I wanted to strangle him through the phone.
i hate this crap of you need to act your age,, hey if i wanna be as young as i feel im gonna act like it gdi . ya some times goofy ,but i like too have fun and i'm not hurtin any 1 ,,, err ok im Not young but i dont care peeps can say what they want most times i let it roll off . but when i need to be mature i can be and when i need to be serious i can be but life;s too short and full of Negative peeps as it is ...
guess im just sick of all the negative crap any more..
so go too the window ,open it and yell "I'm Old as hell ! And i'm not gonna act it anymore!!!

I hate being told I do [insert b.s.] becuase I'm an only child/ have tattoos/ don't go to church/own a pit bull/wear pink undies.
Enough with the putting people in little boxes !
So many things so little time a few of my most hated.
"I don't mean to be racist but (insert jackass statement here)"
And probably my #1 most hated statement anything that expresses surprise that yes I am black. Even worse if it's followed by justifications of the thought. I have never in my life heard a good answer. Never. And I hear something to that effect more times than I really care to count.
"No offense, but...."
It just implies that they know you're going to be offended, but don't care enough to keep their mouth shut.
And whining. Nothing drives me nuttier than whining, especially in adults.
most of the above, and, my favorite
I need a favour, wait actually it's ..I need to ask a favour
(knock knock) its the police ! open up now! i hate it when they say that lmao
just kidding.... however when i was married... the inlaw ohhhh did i forget to mention thing drove me crazy.
i hate being to told to wash my hands and what are you doing back there, knock it off
Any statement using the word "dude" really bothers me.
but dude thats so coolOriginally Posted by SeeBanks
I hate it when ppl who DONT like tatts bring it to my attn about how they'll look when I'm old!!! Like thats a detourant! They'll prolly see my depends pantyline too. Who cares...lol
It's more of an expression and than a negative comment afterwards. I'll be talking to somebody and they'll scrunch their face up and say "That black eye/lip liner looks horrible"
Shut up about my make up and listen to me! If Im telling you something important, dont just look at me like im a freak, Listen to what im saying!

Haha I wasnt talking to anyone specifically, I just hate being told that.
Usually when I ask them that, they say "grow your hair out, dont get anymore tattoos, dress nicer, get a better job, yadda yadda". I just laugh. Im perfectly happy with myself. Usually I retort with "so really, how happy with your life are YOU?" I never seem to get an answer back;]
People say that shit to you? The humanity Even better than my retorts. You catch them totally offguard. Puts a mirror in their face.Originally Posted by Jax

Yeah I get it all the time. Even by guys I date. Needless to say if I ever hear a guy say I should grow my hair out, that Id look cuter, that ends it for me once and for all. So far there have been 3. Fuck em.
Damn. That's fucked-up. I usually just hear silly shit from random folks I see around from time to time. I can relate to it to some extent. Usually, folks I date try to subtly change things (dress up a bit more) (what about yadda yadda hair color). Silly peeps.Originally Posted by Jax

Don't tell me to grow up... that's a one second graduate course Master Of Futile Open-mouthing (MOFO).
But yes people who want to tell other people what to wear should definitely mind their own business.
Sometimes I think I don't mind being told anything... it just doesn't matter as I have an inability to take advice I'm not interested in hearing anyway. Probably that really means I don't like being told anything at all?? Now that's not good but oh well... it's a complete waste of oxygen and it's going to have counter-productive results. (Tip: obviously i'm easy to manipulate - just tell me to do the complete opposite of what you actually want... a la br'er rabbit, br'er bear and the briar patch).
Some-one told me the other day that i should not wear pin-stripes. ha! I bet they're right but ever since I've made sure I've completely over-dressed in nothing but any kind of stripes in every different variation that I can think of... like right now... if I can just operate this stupid cellphone camera in reverse... ah... that's it...
ok... pity you can't see that the shirt is an overdose of stripes too. no... I'm not going to tell you not to tell me that I shouldn't wear this stuff or post a picture of it but think of the environment... it would be a waste of electricity typing it in as far as i'm concerned
I discovered a new one today. After a lengthy and very interesting conversation with a man on the bus I got off the bus and this woman who'd been sitting in front of us told me I really shouldn't be talking to strange men like that. She proceeded to tell me just how crazy she thinks he is and that I am "setting myself up" for "something" to happen.
She got told to fuck the fuck off.
Had she approached me with something less in the realm of snobby and more in the realm of actual caring I might've been more polite.
I hate it when people tell me that I'm putting myself in danger because they seem to not like the people I talk to.
I hate been told that I have not done enough with my life and then being compared to other family members and their 'great' jobs & how my life would be better if I finished my university degree, and that I would be so much happier.
If I was not happy with what I am doing I would change it.
Hate when people tell me 'how do you survive' when they find out I do not have a credit card & mobile phone; I seem to be doing good so far.
the one "get a life" is annoying because i am fairly logical and it doesnt make sense to me and as such i have no retort
also "don't be a smart ass" in which i often follow up with you want me to be a dumb ass?
I hate it when people tell me "Now you don't really know!" or "You don't know anything!" When I actually have a lot of experience on the subject....of course I hate it when people are condesending to me, "There's my little idiot!" happened to be my ex's favourite phrase...and it wasn't said with love....
I hate being told "You've got to use your indoor voice..." I've from a LOUD CRAZY cajun family... The indoor voice tends to be louder... HA!
LMAO, i have to agree, alot of people live in there own little boxes n dont understand why, or more likely, how to talk to a random strangers, at the end of the day we r all strangers at some point, get a grip, i was chattin to someone not takin a dump on there lap!Originally Posted by Nudemuse
