I came to read a post here or there, then stayed for the subjects and the sexy.

About me:
I read a lot of comics. Why that's the first thing I think of to say about myself, I don't know. Comics are pretty awesome, though.

I am very interested in theories of cities and of people and of sex. I like plants -- being near them, making them grow, eating them. I like meat too. Red meat, dark chocolate, dark wine. I like lists.

preacher is what got me back into comics, i didn't like overblown mannerisms of comics of the 80's and early 90's marvel.

since then i've been on catchup on Garth Ennis and warren Ellis (Transmetrapolitan)

Hi, SyntheticShock! Tank Girl is a symbol of total awesome (Transmet too, no doubt).

I recently finished the Lucifer series, a spin-off of Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. Really good stuff... funny and thought-provoking in a way that's similar to Sandman, even though the creators are different.

I always got discouraged by manga... the series tend to have *so* many books, and I like to read a series in its entirety. It gets expensive and space-consuming!

That said, is there anything you'd particularly recommend?

it really depends... wat kind of stuff do you like? there's all different kinds of manga.... If you like niel gaiman, you might really like full metal alchemist; there are of course ten million books in the series, but it really is great. I know about it being expensive, but it is also addicting.... I'm reading a few different series right now, and I like all different stuff... my manga collection would be taller than my house if I stacked it all up. someday I will invest a big huge bookshelf, lol...

let me know what kind of stuff/themes you like and I can probably make some recommendations.

ps: i just watched both dark knight trailers on my phone and I have the biggest fucking hardon for that movie I can't wait until july.
