Probably the Star-Spangled ChestWigs at a social club when I was about 18, I think...
Depeche Mode, Music for the masses.
Emo before it's time, but the foodfight was awesome.
Big concert: Area 2 festival with David Bowie, Moby, and The Blue Man Group at Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, VA

Well, as a pre-teen/teen I went to see a lot of punk shows. My first show with a well-recognized band was SNFU, but if you are talking mainstream it would be Rob Zombie/Korn/Videodrone.
oh yeah...

As for DD well it has taken me a long time to get enuff confidence to exist in a world where they do too. Their later guitarist warren cucorillo or woteva is pretty awesome. he/they did the best version of "White Lines" (GMF&TFF excepted of course).
The first big concert was probably Stiff Little Fingers at the Mayfair in Newcastle, many years ago.
i'm sorry to admit that mine were wheatus (small venue) and busted (large venue..but i got the ticket free from a friend :p)
Well, you gotta respect Warren...he used to play with Zappa and then Missing Persons.Originally Posted by helcyon
I was a little surprised to see that he started doing porn though. I guess you gotta get your burger money somehow.
Mine was Rob Zombie with Lacuna Coil as the opening band when i was 15

My dad was cool.
sweet dude, mine was KISS too!
(omits further commentary on depressing childhood.)
I've been dragged around to concerts ever since I was knee high to a grass hopper.
Unfortunately they were southern gospel ones that my parents attended.
I saw Ricky Skaggs in West Virginia at a Coal Miner's Union party.
My first 'real' concert was when I saw Extreme (dont laugh Helcyon...lol)
A few yrs later, I saw Goo Goo Dolls, and BonJovi 2003 maybe
at the same place in Cincinnati I saw Saliva Kiss and Aerosmith !!!
I've also been to Hed PE Project 86 and POD in 2000
I instantly fell in LOVE with Project 86's music and poetry.
I ended up working as a Moderator for them at their now defunct message boards. (for 3 yrs)
I love love loved working as a Mod for them.
I've got to get into their shows for free, and got to run their Merch Booth at the Nutter Center Arena.
My husband and I rented out this kewl as shit psychedelic room and hosted an event for Andrew Schwab's spoken word tour for his book Do Not Disturb, and We Caught You Plotting Murder.
Joby Harris also had a book but I cant for the life of me remember what it's titled, but it was very inspirational.
It was mainly him talking about how he works on movie sets making props, out of household items....etc. I loved it.
I know I've been to more shows and stuff, I just cant think about it right now,
OH I saw Domestic Violence in Ky.
Now don't laugh! Mine was the Spice Girls when I was thirteen.
Small venue (as it was at an amusement park) - Kenny Rogers and the First Edition.
Large venue (as in true concert) - David Bowie and the Spiders from Mars
Small: I -think- -think- it was a concert at disney world with the guy who sang Brick House etc.
Major: When my dad and I went and saw Megadeth. Was a bitching concert for a first too. We managed to fenaggle our way right up in front of the stage and the band members sweat hit me in the face as they played etc. Was a pretty happy memory. It also impressed upon me the desire to always bring a spare case of earplugs just incase.

I like Spice girls especially slut spice... you know which one... the most heavy duty one. I also like Emma Bunton. Not scary spice. I can't remember sporty spice. Is David Beckham in them?
The first concert I positively remember is Bo Diddley at the Tewantin Hotel near Noosa. He went on strike for a little while that night 'cos somebody took his picture. Underage drinking was more tolerated in those days. Otherwise I would've had to wait until I turned 18 in another 6 or so years.
mine was the clash of the titans tour. megadeth, anthrax, slayer, with, i think, alice in chains as the opening band. i couldnt hear fo days!

Lollapalooza '97
Then, it was Cher and Cyndi Lauper (I know, I know, no need to tell me)
Mudvayne, followed shortly by Lily Allen at the same venue.
Even though the choices of viewing LESS THAN DESIREABLE.... I still enjoy most of the band!!!!
Carter Fold Carter Family and Johnny Cash.. Just to see Johnny and June at the K-mart all the time in Kingsport TN.
I come from very rich country and blue grass back ground so it took me some to time really find my own music.
Here in Atlanta when Funker Vogt came throught back in 2001
Ana Barbara, in Mexico.... I had tickets for the shitty far away area, but I managed to sneak into the front row (being 12 years old..it was easy) and when she was singing "La Trampa" I reached out to touch her and she held my hand while singing the chorus!!
I didn't wash my hand for like two days..
The Smiths were my first show. First record I owned was Johnny Cash at 6. Finally caught him at a small county fair in '92. This was just before American Recordings.
