But there has always been society, so there must be new factors if you want to look for the roots of modern bad behaviour. I think sitcom television can take some blame. People seem to think that being involved in stupid plots and getting one another with witty zingers passes as appropriate interaction because that's what they see on TV. I think there are a lot of other factors, but that's one for now.

Society is evolving faster than ever but I can't buy into that being a negative given the events of he last half century and genuine good that has come from it. It's not perfect but with the civil rights movement really pushing down so many walls it's let people from minorities like myself go farther than my own parents where allowed to. Though even they got to feel and see the effects of it all...truth is as mucha s we change we remain the smae in areas of conflict and division of opinion...we splinter off into groups who can back up what we beleive in and see as correct...

As a result we sometimes take steps backwards that take all the attention off the advances we;ve made.

Look at this disaster Stalin caused when he had the state control all the farms...caused a famine and killed off millions before WW2.

Capitalism has it's faults but it's not as damaging to society as some may think. You have to fight your way for what you want is all. It's not about being completely fair...just fair enough. If one is too fair then the weak are on par with the strong...and as ideal as that sounds it has some major faults...cause after all no one wants the weak of the world to prosper and thrive...

That breeds destruction.

Overpopulation is a big problem.

Capitalism wouldn't be an issue, if there were a lot less people, with the same raw resources.
We could all have what we needed, and just be creative, and invent things, and explore
the world, ourselves, etc. But we are just in this mad dash to be the one with the most
of the limited resources in the world. So many people, and all of them want a home,
a car, a tv, etc...

Sitcoms, movies, tv, and stuff like that, is just a creative way to keep people happy,
and keep their minds off the struggle they are in. People want to be distracted.
It's not just a tool of "the man" to keep people from rebelling.
People want to be distracted from the state of the world, and their own
