    Default I'm quite new here.

Still figuring everything out then i suppose.
    Weellllll. um I'm 18 in louisiana, currently in college as an art student, I have an awesome Boyfriend whom i've been dating for nearly 3 years now, i do quite love him. I adore strange things. Quite possibly my favorite articles of clothing are corsets...and shoes...i do love shoes. I work at a haunted house as a makeup artist and actress. i'm currently listening to my dad talk to himself in the other room o_O;;;
ummm I like to draw and photoshop. my hair is many different colours (mainly pink, purple and blue) i have my hip pierced. and i don't really know what else to say xD

that sounds fun, it's awesome working in a haunted house!! this was my 3rd year and i got to work at our big house in new orleans called the mortuary. It was so much fun, the place is actually haunted...and something pulled my skirt when i was standing in the middle of an empty room...kinda freaked me out xDDD

yea, i agree it's alot different now. and hell things are still destroyed and shit. It's disgusting how slow things are going. You'd think that most of the buildings would be rebuild or at least demolished but no. And the people are crazy here. haha oh well i should be used to it i've lived here my whole life :P
but yea it's an awesome place, i wouldn't want to live anywhere else xD

it never ceases to amaze me that in a country as big as america that falls over itself to get involved in the rest of the worlds troubles it just wiped its hands of one of its own cities, over here in the UK we would nt stand for something like that but rest of the US seemed happy to look the other way?
Nice to meet u n workin in a haunted house sounds like fun n not fun at same time lol

Yes...Yes, that is so true. They kept showing footage for like a week after and EVERYBODY in America kept saying, "Jesus! Why do they keep showing these other Americans stuck in New Orleans with no water or food? Like we care." Certainly there is something wrong with all of us here. Unlike those Brits that always care for everybody who lives in the UK.

Dude, you're a fuckin' douche bag! Just like most uppety Brits who think they're SOOO much better than Americans. It's like all you Brits want to do every chance you get is tell the world how we are uncaring, dumb people and you guys are wonderful.

Of couse we care about our own people. In fact, if you take a poll here, I'm sure most Americans would much rather spend zero money on other countries and have our OWN tax dollars spent on the less fortunate in America. But, no, we're the "super-power" and that means we have to worry about everybody else in all the other countries and when we don't then, bingo, we're the bad guys...Blah, blah, fuckin' blah.

We beat your asses in the revolution and saved your asses in WWII. Deal with it. Other than that, there are assholes all over the world. Not just in America. Face it.

well it's not so much that they don't care about it, it's the the New orleans people don't really want to help themselves (a majority of them at least). The rest of america thinks that New Orleans is all back together now and fixed how it used to be (it has been like 3 years) But in reality they don't want to help themselves, they just want to wait for someone else to come in and fix it and get the whole pity party thing going on.
haha yea it has it's ups and downs, i worked 3 nights a week last season, and after the first 2 nights i could barely walk and i was covered in bruises (i crawl on the ground like the ring/grudge) and i almost got punched a few times, did get hit a few times etc. But making all people from ages 6-60 cry is the best thing ever!!!

I like cast iron or copper bottoms; depending.
I've had the same knives for ten years. nothing special, just carbon steel. I only own and need four: a 10 in. french knife, 8 in. boning knife, 10 in. ofset handle serrated, and a 4 in. paring. they have only been sharpened twice in ten years. they hold an edge like I've never seen. I had them sharpened five years ago, and they are still pretty sharp.

Hi Brigeyboo! I'm brand new here too. Can I ask you a question? If it's corny of me to ask feel free to tell me so. Have you read Anne Rice's memoir Called Out of Darkness? I'm curious about it because she talks about growing up in Louisiana.

I spent a little time in Louisiana (Cajun step-dad). I miss crawfish boils. Get drunk, drop about 90 pounds of crawfish or so into a big huge pot (not all at once of course, it makes it better for the drinking and whatnot) then just dump them on a table and have the whole neighborhood dig in. I think I actually ate nothing but crawfish for a week once. Dammit, now I miss crawfish. And po-boys.

Those piercings are awesome. I had never actually seen that done before. I've seen plenty of surface piercings, but never on the hips. That must have sucked trying to sleep for that first couple weeks and not being able to roll around.

I think I need to start hiring out some of the people on these boards to do my Halloween costumes/makeup. That shit's awesome.
