How come Britney Spears has better "Venom" effects in her Womanizer video than Venom had in Spider-Man 3?

Sign of a cruel and wrathful deity who is very disappointed in all of us? Sign that the third sequel in most anything is beating a dead arachnid?
Too many side stories in "3" made the flick suck...And Jesus, did any of us need to see the whole broadway Kirsten shit? Was I watching Spiderman 3 or Mama Mia!?
the boy and I actually paid to see it in theaters when it came out. we walked out of the theater durring him dancing in the club. I have zero interest in ever seeing the rest of it. it sucked.
on another subject, does anyone know if christian bale is still playing batman in the next batman movie?
It hasn't been announced officially that there even will be another one. But of course since it made more money than any other flick fucking ever of course there will be. And my bet is that the same cast and crew will be involved. They've got such a winning combination that it would be foolish to try to change it.
You mean the part when he became "cool" and instead just REALLY looked like a douche? I don't know what Sam Raimi was thinking.Originally Posted by VoltaireBlue
Well, it's not like he's in a million other flicks right now so I'm sure he'll be enticed to do another one.Originally Posted by VoltaireBlue

Oh yeah, he'll totally do it. He'd be retarded not to. He could name his price at this point.
I heard a rumor somewhere that they might be getting someone else for the next one. if they do I won't be so stoked to see it. bale is my favorite bruce wayne/batman.
I agree. This country needs a Bale-out.Originally Posted by VoltaireBlue

Wouldn't that make a record for the first actor to play Batman in more than 2 movies? According to history, now it'll be a really sucky guy for the role, like... worse than Clooney.
But...the Batmobile is the only thing that will save GM.Originally Posted by Rockwulf

Erm..He only did 1. Batman Forever.Originally Posted by nathanmbailey

Shit, why was I thinking he was the original movie Batman? My bad. He was still better than Clooney though.
I'm gonna guess it's because she's likely to SNAP again at any given moment and the people who did the effects for her videos didn't want her to bust in and shave their heads?
just a theory
Britney's videos are known for big CG budgets (after all, they need it) but there's nothing in Womanizer you couldn't do on a home PC with a few grands worth of software. A lot of it is just color keyed footage rammed through After Effects.
The first time a director asks for an effect, it usually turns out pretty crap, as there's no prior benchmark - anything the director is shown in rushes tends to impress them, and the less work you do, the more time you have for playing WoW. Imageworks wrote most of the Venom CG from scratch, but given the amount of footage involved, most motion picture effects are a compromise of quality vs. the lovely term "boneability" - how easy the effect is animate against live footage without frame-by-frame painting.
If something only appears for a second, it's far easier to paint it as you only have 25 frames to touch, so you can do a lot better visually with less effort (some stuff is literally drawn frame-by-frame in Photoshop); plus as soon as someone invents an effect, there are hundreds of us thinking of ways to improve it or make it cheaper. The CG for a movie is pretty much obsolete by the time it hits theaters.
I can really see using this measure for a lot of the people I know.Originally Posted by Mindgames

Oh! and SM3 cost over a quarter billion to make, and Mamma Mia cost.... Budget $52 million
Counting the stage show, which has earned, wait for it, $2 BILLION.....
Mamma Mia knocks the balls off SM3.
I'm not HAPPY about this, of course, Mamma Mia is a pile of shit, but hey.

I have a question. Why was wulf watching Brittany Spears videos?
I was bored. She was naked. The story kinda writes itself.
