yessir.I used to live about a fifteen to twenty minute walk from beale actually in midtown. was born at the hospital in downtown which aint there anymore and spent most of my free time when i turned 18 down at overton square.

shit, i still remember the ice storm of 94 where this oak branch had broken loose and blew a major transformer and left memphis without any power for about two weeks.

and hangin with my friends at hueys scribling profanities on the walls and furntiture and watching the tigers play (thats my college basketball team right there always will be just like the suns will always be my pro basketball team.)

goin to mud island and the pink palace. buying two liter bottles of peach faygo at the piggly wiggly for like 80 cents or something and hangin at the edge when it was still around. it used to be this badass alt scene coffeehouse that went out of business i think the other coffee house i used to hang with my ex-friend davina at is still around but they dont have big comfy leather couches and a jukebox with the eurythmics in it.

either film noir or a john waters movie lol and yeah, bp. that place was prettybadass, the edge i man. it was so cool at first seeing em having a serving station at the pyramid too until I realised they had sold out and were trying to change to a more mainstream demograph. ugh. i went back there a few years later right about when they were goin out of business just to use the restroom and the guy behind the counte was a fucking asshole. didnt wanna acknowledge the way they used to be, fucking made jokes about my outfit and was just overall fucking rude. to be honest now, im kinda glad they went out fo business because of what they had become but it was awesome before they got to that point. memphis is full of crazy ass places last i remember.
