There is no place like Vegas, but I also really enjoyed Seattle and Portland a bunch. It's not crazy expensive, and the people up there are really friendly.
I have a friend in Seattle, I have plans to definitley visit someday soon. I am considering a trip to California again, but this time Id also like to see San Francisco, and some other areas up north. I loved Los Angeles, and I wish I had made it to San Diego. I guess I will just have to keep flying out there.
You should stop in The Spearmint Rhino.. That place is a blast.Originally Posted by CeruleanFire
Ok, I got it, I will definitley check it outOriginally Posted by DyingSunshine
I've always wanted to visit Portland, I heard it's really nice there.
Vegas is a great place to visit. Zumanity is supposed to be a great show. Kinda like an adult Cirque de Soliel. As far as hotels, I think the Venetian is probably one of the nicest. VERY ROMANTIC! If you go during the week, its usually a bit less expensive. There are soooo many things to do in Vegas!
Zumanity, Ive been wanting to see that in NYC, so if I dont get a chance I will try to check it out there. Ive seen Cirque De Soleil once, and it was a great show. I want to see moreOriginally Posted by DescendingAngel
I'm a history nut so I like visiting places where important historical things occured...though mainly I prefer events tied to Military History. If you ever want to feel uneasy and curiously tired...visit a well worn battlefield as the sun sets.
I saw a program on something like that, I believe it had to with visiting the Gettysburg site, on the History Channel, or one of those channels. Definiltey would be interestingOriginally Posted by Tequila Zaire
I wanted to visit a few places in the Pacific but many of them are no longer as accessible as they once where...plus they are not all that safe to casual visitors...and I'm not experienced enough for THAT kind of trip yet. My luck I'd end up stepping on an old land mine.Originally Posted by CeruleanFire
One of the BEST documentaries on old Pacific WW2 battlefield was oddly done by Steve "Crocodile Hunter" Erwin. He took his same insane level of curiosity and visited areas of the pacific long forgotten. The most amazing was his visiting a Japanese cargo ship STILL full of ammunition and explosives. The whole program had beautiful shots and well done commentary. I was quite impressed with the passion the crocodile hunter put into it...next best thing to being there really. Provided you have an interest in that stuff.
I actually love history, including war/battlefield history. I like to read, and I occasionally watch the history channel. Sometimes they have great programs. Where did you see the documentary done by Steve Erwin, so I can keep my eyes open for it?
Oddly it was on Animal Planet and later on the Discovery channel or TLC...one of those two re-aired it. I'm gonna have to buy a copy though...haven't seen it aired much since then.Originally Posted by CeruleanFire
Ok, I will keep a lookout for it. ThanksOriginally Posted by Tequila Zaire
The Thailand islands on the east side are really nice. You can spend days in literal paradise soaking in 80 degree F crystal clear ocean water and snorkleing (or SCUBA diving). And I loved Amsterdam & London-- lots of interesting people & shops & cafes.
Ireland, Scotland, France (the Bretagne or the Cote d'Azur), Spain, Mongolia, China, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand... all beautiful
lol, amsterdam, amsterdam, amsterdam
i'm moving there as soon as. dont you just love emigration? i wan't to get a job as a buyer in a coffee shop
