NIN - The Perfect Drug...I've said it before and I'll say it again...about as perfect a video as you can shoot. It's sense of simplicity, color, and design did two things...
    1. Showed HOW to do a "dark" or "Goth" video without being silly.

    2. Used imagery the way you're suppose to use it...to ADD to the song not distract from it.

David Bowie - " Jump They Say" ...Just flat out cool and deliciously sexy. The sense of color in that video is solid too...way way WAY ahead of its time.

David Bowie - "Miricle Goodnight" ... He was so dead on amazing in terms of his look that I feel in love as a kid. The imagery was like a collectionm of living photographs and mixed with the editing and pace of it...makes it not only infinately watchable but timeless. It just does not age. It was hot then and hot now.

Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up....it pissed off Moby and angered many. It was fucking beautiful no matter the critiques.

Paulina Rubio - Y Yo Sigo Aqui...it's a total pop diva video but it has a few great things, vivid colors, weird chemistry overlays, and shot after shot of my future mistress looking as delicious as can be. It's just a solid pop video that was blatently stolen from time and time again.

"Jumalten Kaupunki" by Moonsorrow. I mean come on, there's a battle scene between the Christians and pagans, along with a giant mjolnir glowing above the drummer, and all the band members are dressed in chainmail. How can a music video get any better than that?

I want to see the Leftover Crack music video. but I haven't seen it yet.

on a semi-related note, I'm going to use this opportunity to bitch about stuff. im so pissed off. even though it was a long time ago I just found out The Distillers played Muppet NAMBLA- brody singing this song is a travesity and a desecration of a classic! Her voice is like ten times deeper than the Stza's for one, and for two she's a pussy, she has a pussy, and girls can't sing grind. I'm not being sexist, it's just a fact. other than the girl from government satire, whom I think is the same singer from NCV, szta's band in highschool. but she happens to be the most badass chick ever, so that kinda speaks for itself.

    Other good 'uns....

    johnny cash - hurt
revolting cocks - do ya think i'm sexy
    rollins band - liar

honorable mention - 50 Cent - In Da Club:
The irony escapes most people that 50 is working out and becoming a superman while singing about going to the club every night... Most people who are "in da club" (at least where I am from) don't come out looking like 50. I would love to re-shoot that video and show a bunch of hot dudes and chicks partying, then when they come out, they are 40 years old with bald heads, fat beer bellies, cottage cheese thighs, saggy boobs, wearing their high school varsity jacket and hauling 3 kids each

what the fuck are you talking about? why should I educate myself about the distillers to learn about grind? the two have nothing to do with each other, that was my point. I think that you need to educate yourself a little bit about it, because when I think about hardcore and grind bands I think about bands like gorilla biscuits and refused and charles bronson and fagatron, whenever you seem to talk about it they are all lame ass metal bands and the kind of shit that they play on MTV2.

i couldn't give a damn about your music, i wasn't talking about your choice in music,I WAS talking about saying that girls can't do "grind" vocals,i've met, done shit with, and seen/heard MANY female "grind"vocalist that were great........

when the fuck do i talk about "lame ass metal bands",when someone says"grindcore" i think of Napalm Death(created it),and stuff like Voltron,The Day Everything Became Nothing,OLD carcass, for fucks sake DuckyGore.......you won't see any of the bands/project on any tv or most even on a cd,soo, maybe you'd like to elaborate on the "mtv2" bands i "always " talk about.........

and i'm sorry ,man, but i don't think you know what "grind" is ,when your talking and "singing" and all poetic and shit, thats NOT grind ,as a matter a fact it's the opposite........

I never said anything about poetry, what are you on. we all know that you consider grind to be blast beats and guys going "rawrr" which happens to be every single band on mtv2, and also, apparently, the defintion for grind, hardcore, and AND metal according to all the kids these days. so have fun with your drum machine.

ok, well I was pointing out that refused is a hardcore band as opposed to like poison the well, or some tuff guy HXC shit of today. I don't really give a shit about the labels anyways, you can keep your grind, and i'll just call my bands 'power violence' or whatever, since they don't really care about what musical genre their cd's are listed under, they just care about thrashing shit up.

as to my original point, if you can give me some example of female 'grind' vocalists, or anything along that lines, i'd like to hear it, because I haven't heard it. in fact all the bands i've seen with female vocalists other then walls of jericho and a few exceptions, have stpped back and had a male backup singer do the 'growl' parts, which I thought was lame.

Therefore my favorite videos would have to be all of the GWAR vids.

Exellent choises! Although I'd have to add Bowie's China Girl (although the Bowie Nudity is a plus for me), and I'm afraid of Americans.

Others? Closer by NIN, I Ran by Flock of Seagulls for its retro- aluminum fab-ness, Thriller does indeed deserve props in this thread, and finally, the Foo-Fighters ALWAYS have really entertaining videos.
