The lazy basterds that remake the movies are the lazy ones that can't think of new ideas so they have to take the old ones and re-make them! They're too fuckin fat and lazy and need to stop playing with them selfs and make some new movies if you want a new movie or tv show make one about my bus the girls have so many fights over guys and shit is funny!
I saw it sweetheart it was great I hope yall enjoy it

I dunno, I can think of a few films that were bettert he second time around....lol just bought the new texas. freaky. And the new dawn was good-sans the biker gang-I shoot just shoot myself now for betraying george a romero. lolOriginally Posted by Oogie
i liked it i have to admit wooooot!
Dawn remake was so vastly different that all it had in common with the original was zombies and a mall. and that's why it worked.
on the other hand I hate that people being tim burton fans excuses him from making shitty movies. planet of the apes sucked. it doesn't matter how good nightmare before xmas was.
I agree..planet sucked.
im not a fan of all his shit and I think he plays the
"goth director" thing a bit much.
the peewee herman films were good though
(and check em if you dont believ it theyre both tim burton flicks. lol)
yeh. dawns remake was good. I also loved the cameo tom savinni made in it-that really sealed the deal for me cuz I grew up watching tom savinnis work. he's truelly the splatterking of the sfx world lol.
I dunno-there was a pregnant woman in the original dawn too now....
i carried my reservations about this one but wow, what a brilliant movie. willy wonka is such an oddball in this one. not a happy jolly sort of fruit cake but the kind that makes you feel sort of uncomfortable watching as he's very eerie
definetly a must watch
i know i want them to re-make elephant man or something scary because all the old movies are so stupid! They should re-make a lot of oldies! I think they should re-make Texas make it longer and scary and the blair witch project come on how fake at least find something thats real and make a movie about it i wanna see real people die not just fake make up ones! >
they did remake texas chainsaw massacre, it was appauling which i was gutted aboutOriginally Posted by Oogie
next up on the "good in theory, bad in practice" session is the remake of evil dead without bruce campbell
wasnt there a coninuation of the book charlie an the glass elevatorOriginally Posted by killerkat
i havent seen it yet i thinkit comes ou tmmorow so i might go see it next week heard alot of bad things but i think thats properly cause of the amout of publicity without it being the type of film thats gonna win any awards or whatever so im gonna try and go in without any expectations which will be hard cause they showed the original last sunday afternoon on the tv aand i sat and watched it
i think that if they re-made some of the older movies like day of the dead 1-whatever it would be really cool because the living dead shit they have now a days is so much better because the make up has cahnged so much over the years its so sweet!
I might go see it.. dunno.. i know its supposed to stray away from the original a little bit and dwell depper into wonka's past. I think i'd spend my money on seeing Burtons next animated film The Corpse Bride instead
wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute......you mean to tell me someone managed to get bruce campbell's permission to us ehis character ash and sam raimi's permission to make a new version of the classic evil dead without bruce campbell as ash?Originally Posted by Hellmo
this cannot be so! noone can play ash better than campbell.
that's almost as bad as the time a few yers back they were gonna make a film about the end times of edgar allen poe and casted michael jackson (imohtep) to play poe! Im gonna cry now...feel a little light headed....ooooooooo (fainted.)
Raimi's producing it.Originally Posted by malcolm
From Sci-Fi Wire:Director Sam Raimi, who is producing a remake of his ghost movie Evil Dead, told SCI FI Wire that he wanted to use the original backwoods cabin from the 1981 film. "I was sad to find out that the house where we shot the original burned down, unfortunately," Raimi said.
...
Raimi said he won't direct the remake himself, but rather is seeking a new director, male or female, to develop the characters he created and retell his campfire story. He added that he won't be very hands-on when the film gets retold.
Raimi also said that the remake won't feature Campbell. The director said he'd rather put Campbell in a new Evil Dead sequel, which would continue the story from the last movie, Army of Darkness.
Have you ever read the book? The 1971 film had the new name. The 2005 film is based on the book -- and it's much closer than the old film.Originally Posted by killerkat
Actually, the 1971 film got a MASSIVE re-write from David Seltzer -- it practically wasn't even the same script. Dahl hated the 1971 film.Originally Posted by malcolm

Well, Wonka seems to be looking past everybody at various points in the film. With the "Wonka's background" revision, this makes sense as his very disjointed from what most people consider "normal."Originally Posted by Lady Alias

Well, the book was really dark and creepy. Dahl regularly wrote about dark subjects and rarely sugar-coated them.Originally Posted by malcolm
you have to go see charile and the cholate factory it goes in depth to why willy wonka is so crazy i just saw it last night! i found it great! And un-like the old one it shows what happens to the other kids!
I have a fucking problem...... i'm gonna go crazy if sept. don't get here sooner because i'm going to see corpse bride because it looks like the best fuckin movie ever! I'm happy with the remake of charlie and the cholate factory!undefined
I agree but if they made some of the little kids books in to scary movies then maybe it would be different! i think........if they made some of the adult books into movies then we would have more movies insted of the re-makes! but what ever floats your boat then be my guest but i think they need to make more novies like corpse bride and The nightmare before christmas *cough*Bestmovie ever*cough*Originally Posted by Rozzlyn
