I wish they would bring Battle Bots back!

I just saw a guy wearing a super mecha-catbot shirt, which was one of my favorites, and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed Battle Bots. And yeah, towards the end, the show got pretty corny, but the action was fun and seeing it live was a blast.

i loved that show...they had some interesting commentators... like that old wrestler who wore the sock on his hand. I always wanted the House Bots to fight eachother.

I got addicted to Battle Bots, and decided to build my own. But by the time I was able to complete mine..NO MORE SHOW. Now it sits in my shop and once in a while I get it out to show off. Hoping one day to see my "Cerebus" in battle action.

I think that was the European RobotWars show, which is kinda different. I liked the Comedy Central show a bit better.

I'm so sad at TV shows now. There are very few that I actually enjoy. Like the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, though it's a bit gross at times.

I never dug that Robot Wars show at all it just wasnt the same and their ring wasnt as good at messing up the bots as the battlebots ring

what was yours like evilbink?

It's a wedge design with three spinning blades at the top. I designed it to scoot under and rip the gits out of the other bot, as well as being able to flip itself, if it got turned over. It took two of us to build and four sponsors (fucking expensive). I got lucky with a partner that knows motors and carried a big part of the mechanics.

It bummed me out when they ended the show, especially since I had got hooked on playing Robot Arena and Robot Arena 2... then they came out with RA: Design and Destroy. Nice games, gives you basic design and mechanical without the expense or possible injury. Lots of fun and good way to kill hours on end... and kill bots.
