My kitty lucifer was hit by a car this morning, he was buried with a robin he caught a couple days ago that he was so proud of. I had him for 8 years. SO today when you drive through a residential area, please slow down there are peoples families out there

thank you, we are all really bummed, but we know he had a good life, he was a little half dead runt when we got him and he turned out to be the hugest prettiest cat. He was my first kid

Yeah, that sucks.

But I think cats are happier being able to be outdoors.
Some people keep their cats locked up inside, because they are
worried about things like this. But their natural instinct is to roam
and hunt. But it's a dangerous world out there. If this was a wild
world, it might have been a wolf or coyote. But in an urban world,
cars are the danger. So he survived safely for many years,
so I think he did pretty good! Sorry for your loss though.
I know it sucks.
