What To Wear To A Party

I am bringing Jeff, the other singer in The Nuns, to a Christmas party at a very fancy place called "Tavern On The Green". The invitation does not say black tie or jacket and tie or formal attire, so do you think it is OK for Jeff to wear a nice black turtleneck and pants?

He is worried about not having anything dressy enough to wear, but no one really dresses up anymore, so I think it would be OK. What do you think?

i'd say just go with trousers and a collared shirt, if it is a more dressy occasion he wont look to under dressed and if it is a more casual thing he can just untuck the shirt and look fine.

He could always stay within the fancy schmancy bounds and still be cool. If in doubt..maybe a collared shirt and a nice jacket (leather, etc) as long as he has a collar on his shirt and boots or dress shoes...I dont see an issue...maybe bring a coat/jacket to keep in the car if they insist on one..just my input, Ma'am

Oh, god, I WISH!!! We went last night, that would have been brilliant!!!! The place was like The Holiday Inn in San Bruno!!!! But the FOOD was great. I had three huge plates of prawns, sashimi, turkey, ravioli, prime rib!! Yummy!

As it turned out, he didn't have any collared shirts and wore the turtleneck and this really nice long coat. I think he looked really good!!!

Half of the men were just wearing casual sweaters, etc, so he actually looked more dressed up than most of them!!

black turtleneck is the only way to go out in public !!!! I do like wearing a black shirt or jacket over it though
