Has anyone here had, or knows someone who has had laser eye correction surgery? I'm seriously thinking about it but I'd like to hear from someone who's had it done.

Cathy Griffin has (the hot redhead comedienne who was the voice of Alice in the Dilbert cartoon and slept with Woz)
She has a whole website/rant about it. She can't see properly anymore even with glasses.
One of the biggest reasons for corneal transplants is Lasik and other surgeries. They cut the cornea out of the way, and flap it back, and it supposedly stitches back together. But it has, no matter how you've cut it, 1% of its original integrity. Recipe for cornea replacement requirements.
I have crap vision, and I wear glasses. Vision changes, glasses change.
Someone makes a mistake, I get new glasses. Can't get new eyes.
I plan to get laser surgery. Had planned for this year, but too much silly shit happened to add in surgery. I have heard nothing but good things about it. All surgeries contain an element of risk though. You'd have to consult an MD.
my dad had it done several years ago, the only negative side effect is that sometimes his eyes dry up really easily, but that's pretty simple to treat with eye drops, I plan on getting it when i get the cash.
Both my parents had it and love it. My dad didn't have a single problem. My mom's one eye didn't heal right so they had to do it again a few weeks afterwards but since then she's been fine. They both recommend it to everyone.
My sister got it and she has had no complaints.
My dad got the old one before laser where they cut your eyes. yikes! but he hasn't had any problems either. But now his close-up vision sucks, but he can see far away good.
I'd like to get it done too. but still too expensive for me.
I has it done over 12 years ago.........................it's a fucking miracle.......$2100 an eye and worth every penny
Thanks guys, I'm calling today for my free consultation!
I'd like it, but it would be too expensive for me. Last time I saw an advert for it over here, it would have cost nearly £600 per eye! Way beyond my budget, and it's not even certain it will work.
friend in Michign had it done
over here they chage by the eye, and i'veallways wanted to wear a monocule
O.o
