New here, I found the link through a awsome Valentines day pic by Lupercalia, up at Deviantart.
This will me introduceing myself, and giveing you all who care to read this all, a little idea about me. At least on an artistic level, considering anything past that, (past, future, hopes and what not) is pointless, and something I would rather not even whisper to imaginary things in the middle of the night..
If there was an appropriate bumper sticker for me.. it would probably say "I Heart Gore", as in blood, guts... grunge...
I have this incessant fascination with all that is dead and dark... I find beauty in the strangest things and things people would run away from, and my attempts with my art.. is to take all the death, blood, and guts.. and try to make it into something beautiful.. show people what I see, when I see blood smeared on the bottom of a sink, swirling down into the drain.
I like make contemporary art, made into something... monstrous in appearance.. but take a second glance.... what do you see... the meanings are a thousand a piece.. in each stroke, each splatter and line in my art, there is meaning.....
Its all a fascination, and something that has driven me... even since I was little... when most little girls played with dolls, I was off in the woods scavenging for bones, to this day I collect them, and currently own quite a few skulls, most are named....
There is Yorrik, whom is my atomically correct skull of a human (I hug him when Im sad.... also, he was named after the line from Hamlet “Alas poor Yorrick. I knew him, Horatio!” often misquoted as “Alas poor Yorrick I knew him well.”)
The Doc, who is a full (small scale) version of a skeleton you can find in science rooms.
Grim, who is my grim reaper head with vampire teeth.
Morte, my black skull with celtic carvings all over him, and a silver nose ring.
Fluffy my cat skull I found when cleaning a blow over site beside a dump, when I was in B.C. Conservation, whom resides on my black cowboy hat.
A cougar skull, a deer skull, a fox skull, a mole skull, and a real bat in a jar of formaldehyde named Unit 30, and a spine/rib baby mobile currently in need of epoxy.... so you can see I surround myself with all things morbid, it tends to turn some off.. but I think were all clear on my opinion of humans, and I assume you can imagine my thought on there opinion of me.
Horror movies, serial killers, and anatomy is my fuel for new ideas, if there was no Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I think the world would somehow be lacking in color and life.
Other than that I'm a fairly truthful, eccentric person.. on for someone who hates to be around people, I'm fairly easy to get along with once you strike my interest.
