Dear Friends, Fiends, Foes and Others:

I have returned, to those of you (and you know who you are) I have missed, none the worse for wear. For the last month I have been in the hospital recovering from a radical unilateral orchiectomy... for those who don't know, that's the removal of a testicle, pre-cancerous. All tests have proven (so far) that is all that was needed to be done.

Life has been difficult lately, to say the least, but things are begining to get back to somewhat normal... not that anything is normal around here to start with. While in the hospital, Nudemuse and I lost our apartment and my car was impounded (it had blown a rod just before I went in for treatment)... I just got the bill for the operation for the amount of $28,000, the total for the entire 33 days will be somewhere in the $250,000 range.

As luck would have it, not to mention a really good friend, we are being housed and looked after while I recover for the next couple of months or so... 8 miles away from the city on the other side of the Sound... ahhhh... island life... no phone, no car, no fire station right across the street (no more sirens at all hours) But with DSL and cable television, I think we'll be alright , not to mention a Safeway and a liquor store around the corner.

I look forward to being able to get back into the swing of things here once again... to get to know the newbies, entertaining and pissing people off as well... as some of you already know, if you thought I just didn't give a fuck before... I'm back with a whole new outlook on things. Especially given the amount of narcotics I have to take every day.

If you don't have insurance for all that stuff, you may look into getting the hospital to forgive the debt, based on hardship. My dad was able to do that. He was able to show them he was broke, and they forgave over $150K in bills... Since it sounds like you are in a bad financial situation at the moment, it might be the best time to give that a shot...

He was able to show them he was broke, and they forgave over $150K in bills... Since it sounds like you are in a bad financial situation at the moment, it might be the best time to give that a shot...

I'm in the midst of paperwork up to my ass to get the state and the hospital to absolve the debt, since I was still in the hospital when I got the first bill I handed it to one of their staffers in collections and told them to save the hassle because it was unlikely they were getting paid... at all... let alone by the due date which was in 2 days.

They have been understanding with it all (so far) and loaded me up with 3 months of free meds, including $2,000+ of the narcotics I need for daily living through modern chemistry at this point. I figure if nothing else comes about, I could always just add them to the long list of creditors and file bankruptcy.

Yeah... everything seems to work just fine... waiting for the greenlight from the doc and I'll get Nudemuse to do an equipment check.

Yes, indeed.. it wasn't my idea of a vacation, that was for certain... went from a bit of discomfort and swelling to major pain and whatnot within a week, then right into the ER and in no time to the OR (all in about 2 hours) and after yet another 2 hours and a spinal block, couple injections of dilaudid and the morphine drip... I found myself in a slight daze with the feeling I had been sliced from asshole to appetite (with testi removed, 4.5 yards of 4 inch gauze was packed inside the wound)

I was entirely awake and aware during the procedure, listening to the conversations of surgical staff voicing concerns over what was to be done, if saving was an option or not, I had the last word about it while split wide open. Laughing at the IV nurse when she said I was so calm and matter-of-factly while I was making the decision... I said hell no, I'm fuuuuuuuucked up... when was the last time you had 6mg of dilaudid and 4mg of morphine?

But I am soooo very glad to be back here, it makes my recovery downtime much more enjoyable... even though I had internet access while in the hospital, the super security had pretty much anything I wanted blocked... was only able to get to 'family friendly' sites and certain web mail as well... anything with Java or Flash was blocked besides anything with MP3s, violent or adult content... so like I say, everything I wanted wasn't available.

And of course Amelia, if it wasn't for your help with the link and suggesting oh-so long ago, I would have never had gone to SMC.. and without your speedy t-shirt delivery, I wouldn't have been able to entertain (scare) most of the staff there... although you think from the hospital's name that it would be staffed mostly with large Teutonic people, but such was not the case... although I did enjoy my Asian spongebath nurse... Soyoung Yung (I'm not lying one bit, ask Nudemuse)... she looked like she just walked off a naughty nurse porn shoot. (Forrest and Amelia: *hint*hint* Where in your massive archive is the gothic Asian lolita-style nurse set ?? *hint*hint* )

My thoughts and hopes for a speedy recovery are with you. Lange and I were just talking about your balls today But I'm thinking the hot Asian spongebath nurse has to be a morphine dream because stuff like that in real life is just wrong. Then again Blue Blood Kellie is a nurse in real life and I think we've shot her in a latex nurse outfit. Somewhere there is a set we shot of Dana Dark getting probed by a naughty nurse. Didn't get it in a jar either... from what the surgeon said, don't think I would have wanted to see it or keep it anyhow, although it would be quite the mantle piece/conversation starter.

But of course now I can't go around in my 'fun' shorts... I had a pair of clear plastic boxers...
my ex used to call them my 'crazy underware'...

Well, I would have to say the 'rude' clothing wasn't from you... it was the fucking ass breezer gown... and really for the most part, not sure why I bothered to wear it most of the time, being a teaching hospital I doubt that there wasn't anyone who didn't get to come and look during post surgery. I had a good chuckle though... being that my surgeon was a woman and 90% of the staff were women, my nurse asked me one day if she could have a student nurse attend a dressing change... at that point, I could care less... she made sure to lean over and tell me, 'it's a man' I just laughed in her face and asked why that would make a difference... they had already taken pictures and whatever else, there wasn't anyone who didn't know what procedure I had done.

I can only imagine just what your conversation with Lange was like... even better if it was mistakenly intercepted by someone else, that could take some explaining. Recovery is going well, with the exception of narcotic withdrawl and phantom pains... strange feeling to hurt where there isn't anything there, scar tissue going along nicely, seems to be right on schedule and no foreseen complications. (fingers crossed)

Ooooh... when I go back to SMC, I will look for my spongebath nurse and get some pictures of her for you... maybe we can talk her into some naughty nurse photos Dig up them sets of pics for me and get to researching... hehehe
