Anybody else notice this trend lately? Pull a old comedian that nobody heard from in years and plop them in front of America with a new game show on Prime time TV?
The Guilty:
Howie Mandel - Deal or No Deal
Bob Saget - 1 vs 100
Penn Jillette - Identity
Drew Carey - Power of 10(also being asked to host Price is Right)- Has not aired yet
Jimmey Kimmel - Set For Life (has not aired yet
Wayne Brady - Don't Forget the Lyrics! (has not aired yet)
Jeff Foxworthy - Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?
Granted..there are more game shows out there that dont have comedians..its just that lately since Deal or No Deal aired, everybody (at least NBC as they hold the most comedian host/game shows I listed) is jumping on the old comedian to host game show bandwagon.
Since Deal or No Deal is the most popular of those, ( the other shows have so far had only 1 season, then put on the backburner)
Do you think a good successful game show should have a comedian host? Or someone completely new and never heard of?
