Anyone here ever have Mono aka "The Kissing Disease"?

i almost had it once... shared a milkshake with my friend katie, then found out she had it a couple days later... but it takes like 3 weeks or so for you to find out you have it... heh i was so paranoid for like 3 weeks... then no symptoms... but you can also be a carrier of it without getting sick too, so yeah... hehe also not good.

but surprisingly no, considering that pretty much everyone else I know has.

I may have. I got tested for strep, but tested negative...the doc then told me to come back in like a week or so if my throat was still acting up to get tested for mono.

ugh i hope you dont have it :S katie was really super sick when she had it, she almost fainted at school one day... not cool.

I was a carrier appearantly. Never got sick.

got bored and kissed to pass the time though. that was fairly infectious.

Not that anyone particularly cares...but I thought I would inform y'all of the test results. I don't have mono, but did have it a few years ago. I have mycoplasma, which is a type of non-bacterial pneumonia. Woot!

I don't think I'm infectious, and I'm on Azithromycin tablets for the next 4 days. Woot Woot!

eeww zythromiacin leaves a nasty taste in your mouth. icky icky icky. but it works. so i guess the nasty flavor is better than being sick.

take the yuck pills inside a bite of ice cream? thats what i did with my tylenol 3's when i had my wisdom teeth out, cause t3's taste like ass too heh...
